We had one here at BFM for years in the later 90s, minus one engine. Was a freighter. We eventually installed the engine, made sure they all still started up, then they came and got it and flew it away. Kinda spooky after all those years of sitting here

They said it was activated during the loading of inflight meals; sounds like the catering employees did open a door that didn't have its slide de-activated Door/slide is supposed to disarm when the outside handle is opened. We converted the 757s for FedEx here in Mobile. I was actually part of that. FedEx wanted 119 aircraft, that's what they got. There are no plans to add anymore to their fleet. The FAL hangar is moving along pretty well here in Mobile. Appears as though its going to mirror the Airbus FAL hangar. I would post a pic of it but its been made so idiotic to just upload a picture here now that one would have to have a computer degree to do it.

Its only temporary. Its currently a warehouse, and half of it will be converted to the temp terminal. If I could upload pictures I would show it. Looking outside right now nothing has started any kind of renovation, but I can guarantee it'll be starting soon.

Work has begun on the mapping of the assembly plant here in Mobile (for all you naysayers about it not being here). Barricades have been put into place on MAE property and soon the excavating will begin.

Look at my post, it says IN SERVICE. Report was out a couple months ago from Boeing that says it's not likely going to be in service until early part of next year. It may be flying, but it's not operational. Again, I'll believe it when I see it.
