It was a ferry over to BFI. Not sure for the reason but it was flown by New Mexico One. Listed as WN7111. Ferry legs were PHX-ELP (8660) and BFI-PHX (8661). ELP-BFI had to be some sort of revenue. Maybe a military charter? I know with normal commercial activity at a lower point, the charters seem t...

I have flown the CMH-SEA through MSP 4 times this month. I hate the tag on, but better to have this service than none. Hopefully it sticks. Re: Delta adds new city Cape Town this fall

I feel like DL wants higher yields so they can take FULL PAYLOAD from South Africa to the USA. I bet when SAA was flying JNB-JFK non-stop west-bound they probably took a payload hit. 1. nobody flies triangle routes for yields. 2. DL serves JNB from ATL 3. Any source? Re: How to Fly a DL 777 Before Retirement

Didn't Delta usually do ATL-LAX-SYD with the 77L? How will they rotate the 77L into LAX this time? Not sure about the 77L rotation, but I believe once LAX-SYD goes to the 350, they won't have to rotate the aircraft between ATL and LAX. It doesn't mean they won't do it though. That has me fascinated...

I have been on the 77L between ATL-LAX back in the before times. You see the internal fleet in LAX rotating like that a lot, maybe coming back from maintenance or Atlantic duty. Yeah I checked that route for the next month, and all I'm seeing at the moment is A333s and 763s. Didn't Delta usually do...

While relying on ATL isn't perfect, customers have JFK, BOS, DTW, and MSP for connections. As to the West not using ATL, I'm amazed how often I would connect in ATL, but because of the 40 minute connection times, the routings worked. Otherwise SLC, MSP and DTW serve the West.
