I could see PHL, RDU and ATL because of the large F9 operations at those airports.
Jump to postI was just doing some dummy bookings for S19, and I noticed something odd with the B757s.

PHL-DUB

ASL only has 4 B757s and is one of these routes going to go to a A330 or A321LR. Or did they pick up another B757.
Some more PHL announcesments today. Frontier adds PHL-ATL/RDU/LAS/MYR/PNS

Since PHL will be getting a B787 base in 2020, I wouldn’t be surprised if AA adds a third daily LHR flight possibly another evening departure or possibly bring back that morning departure we had in 2015.

Now knowing that they want to expand to newer markets with the opening of some planes I’m really not too sure where they would go at this point, they axed some major cities already such as JFK, MIA, DFW and making SFO seasonal, and then trying mid sized markets seem to fail. Some possibilities that ...
Jump to postWhat’s anyone’s thought on adding any new flights to ANC, possibly a new summer seasonal flight to return to PHL or new flights to ORD or CLT. Would AA want to go up against AS and UA at ORD Think a A321neo would be fine on any of those routes though.
Jump to postOn frontiers website, on the drop down for SRQ I’m seeing LAS and PHL.
Jump to postAs for domestic ops, how would a PHL-EYW/ABQ/TUS sound
Jump to postAA just "connected the dots" with lots of Midwest cities this summer that previously only had service to ORD, DFW or CLT, so I don't see a ton of domestic expansion coming any time soon. However, there are some obvious holes that I think need to be filled domestically: PHL-SJC PHL-SMF PHL...
Jump to postWith AA wanting to fly to more Eastern European cities, how would a flight to WAW, VIE, IST, OTP or DME from PHL sound. Personally I could see WAW and DME being the most realistic. Also is there any word on possible South American expansions from any of the hubs? Seems like it’s been quiet down there.

QR will still get plenty of connections from AA at PHL. AA hasn’t suspended their interline agreement. That means you can stil check bags through and get boarding passes issued. QR will definitely still use AA for connections at PHL,m, it’ll just cost them more. It will cost them a lot more though ...

Posted from PHLs Twitter that Qatar will now be arriving at PHL in the afternoon rather than the morning flight for better connection opportunities.
At PHL, DL uses D8, D10, D12, D14, D15 and A6 for the LHR flight.

Jump to postPHL is on a roll the past two months, first AA to ZRH, BUD and PRG. Then F9 to CHS, JAX, MEM, OMA, MSN. EI announces service today and now this on AA. Keep it up, hope to see more adds from AA.
Jump to postYou do realize that US previously served PHL-VIE/MXP/OSL/ARN. I wasn't aware of that. Again...if they didn't work back then, why would they work now? You can say the same thing about PHL-ZRH/SNN. US/AA ended ZRH in 2016 and now adding it back on 2018. US ended SNN in the mid 2000s and then added it...

With the list of cities that PHL wants, I feel that EDI, TXL, DUS, MXP, and HEL would be the most likely. Also any ideas when the new routes would be announced. When AA announced DFWs new routes I believe it was around Oct/Nov.

For the PHL routes they have been known since their latest schedule extension last month. I am surprised though that UST isn't sticking around for the winter though. But I do hope that they come back for the next spring and summer months.
