Yes. TG have two dailies to LHR from BKK. TG910 & TG911 are operated by the A380. The second daily service is operated by the 77W.

How long is your layover? There is an airport hotel, which I believe is connected to the terminal IIRC. My longest stop over was 7 hours and I paid to use the prime class lounge on both the outbound and inbound. Definitely worth the money imo - a much more relaxing place to spend those hours in-betw...

I'm not sure why either, but it is something I too have thought about. I was quite surprised to hear Japan is not very credit card friendly. Not sure if this is still the case? Perhaps it's just a rooted cultural thing. Perhaps those countries just prefer dealing with actual cash rather than plastic...

Skiathos airport is great. Have a look on google to see what I mean. It's not the busiest airport in Greece, but being so close to the action would surely make up for the lack of variety. If I am not mistaken, most flights are seasonal only so you will need to check when their high season is.

I've not stayed at a Sandals resort, but I have stayed at the St James resort in Antigua, which was fantastic. Great beach and pools, fab staff, excellent cateirng and generally just a great resort. Antigua is a nice island, too, though I prefer Barbados and Jamaica, but still a great place to visit.

Hmm, I always thought it depended on where you were calling, with the further you were calling, the more expensive it is, or perhaps that's how it used to be? Maybe it has been standardised, but it doesn't seem to make much sense that your international call was cheaper than a local call?

LHR - BKK for me. About 12 hours or so.

A 10+ hour flight is fine as long as you have good entertainment and a comfortable seat with decent pitch.

Personally, it's a close match between the 747 & 777. Like others have mentioned, the 2x3x2 layout on the 767 is more favourable.
