DL flew TIJ-LAX using an RJ for at least a couple of months before it was axed in 2007. Allegro flew TIJ-OAK in the early 2000s as well as Volaris. OAK certainly has a number of european routes and has grown drastically from the help of DY. But only lacks the Asia market. Without DY serving OAK, BA nor LEVEL wouldn't enter the market. I read a Spanish aviation publication saying it will be BCN-LAX, BCN-OAK, BCN-SCL and BCN-EZE, all service to begin mid-June by VY. HAV and NRT was not mentioned.

Actually it's now 12/30, the runway has been extended to 10,520 ft. They redid the runway and taxiways a few years ago, the magnetic shift was the cause the runways were renumbered.

Slightly off topic but it is interesting how SJC has really left OAK in the dust over the past couple of years. There's already a new Asian carrier in the works that will be serving OAK in the next 1-3 years. But can't mention it in this thread. G4 could be starting OAK-EWR as well as LAX-EWR soon.
