I arrived from PHL today on an AA A321 and landed on 10L. Winds were very erratic and the cloud base was low... made for an interesting landing. Back in late December when we had a similar storm, the 10s were used for landing as well. I think the wind has shifted and they have switched to the 19s.

I was also listening to liveatc.net and heard Cathay 872 actually land on 28R. I was wondering why they did that for a moment and then looked up the crosswind limits on the B777-300ER - 40 knots.

Occasionally, they are allowing 1R departures, but not without large delays. AAR2134 - I think the Asiana aircraft which is carrying passengers from yesterday's flight, is currently departing from 1R (1146 PST).
