Been holidaying on Anna Maria Island every year for the past 30 years and as a kid in
the 90s always went to SRQ spotting. Those were the days b737-200s, md80s, b727s!
Nowadays I fly in via ATL purposely for the MD80 ride.
Glad to hear SRQ doing well
RSW-DUS? This route always intrigued me. Has EuroWings carried on with this service after the Air Berlin collapse. That route has survived for a while, initially with LTU in 1994, then Air Berlin, and now Eurowings who still operates it (although I believe Air Berlin suspended/cancelled it very soo...Jump to post
It’s a 15 minute walk from JetBlue baggage claim in terminal C to British Airways check in, in terminal E. You can either walk inside in the non secure area through a set of hall ways or outside along the sidewalks between terminals. There is also an airport bus that goes to all terminals if you do...Jump to post
Terminal 5 at LHR has about 10 off pier stands and if your lucky a coach may turn up!Jump to post
Sorry if it’s been done, did a quick search and couldn’t find any info on this. I’m aware of threads regarding the airport with most A380 operators and was thinking does LHR have the most 787 carriers? BA, Virgin, Air Canada, AA, UA, Avianca, Aero Mexico, Kenya, Ethiopian and Qatar occasionally? Jor...Jump to post
Nice report with some fun facts, thanks for sharing.
Always enjoy watching her land at LHR.
Already being discussed in the Indian aviation thread for March 2019. https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1416793&p=21180151#p21180151 It’s a genuinely big bit of news hidden in a big thread. The amount of times I’ve started to read a decent thread then someone chimes in wit...Jump to post
As I said last week, the guidelines for the women's art project were a fairly strong indicator that a revised livery is coming. I think the billboard titles will look great. These are the guidelines for the women's art project from UA's site: https://hub.united.com/her-art-here/ https://www.flightg...Jump to post
I posted this in the other thread that’s talking about the same thing. I am probably one of very few ‘controversial’ people that has always liked the Globe livery and think it looks great on every aircraft that wears it. Although off topic(ish) I’ve always thought maybe the post merger livery should...Jump to post
So a bit of purple may be added? I am probably one of very few ‘controversial’ people that has always liked the Globe livery and think it looks great on every aircraft that wears it. Although off topic(ish) I’ve always thought maybe the post merger livery should have consisted of both liveries so th...Jump to post
All eyes on Boeing.
It says “for the most part they will beef up their strong domestic presence” Does this mean they could be looking outside the US market too? Maybe B797 order? bo)am That's my hope. Take a B797 with folding wingtips that can fit a standard narrow body gate and really build capacity at places like DA...Jump to post

Slightly off topic but how long is left on the Willie and Branson bet regarding
the VS brand if it ever was serious?
Will Willie cough up?
Was asking for trouble letting anyone buy something capable of flying up as high as planes. What?? What? Back at you. Just look at Gatwick, anyone can buy one of these and fly around airfields causing havoc and potential fatalities. Personally surprised RC planes haven’t been involved by certain gr...Jump to post
Was trying to find the recent thread on the Qatar and Oneworld uncertainty to ask this question but couldn’t find it. I noticed a350-1041 A7-ANE came into LHR tonight in the OneWorld livery and with this frame being only a couple of months old is this a sign of Qatar’s allegiance to the OneWorld All...Jump to post

With regards to cargo, I think BA use DHL to carry a lot of their cargo? Also you have the likes of Iberia and Finnair that use wide bodies probably picking up a lot of Cargo. Sorry to hijack thread but wasn’t their a rumour a while back about Aer Lingus starting to use An A330 on one of their rotat...Jump to post

Another remarkable colour scheme on the A310 was Balair’s with the yellow wings:
I don’t recall this personally but Emirates must have served Heathrow with A310s when they got started...? I should look up my old photobooks. I believe I have seen one of the Emirates A310's at Heathrow. They only operated a handful of aircraft around that time. Didn't Uzbekistan Airways also serv...Jump to post
im pretty sure both PIA and Air India operated the A310 into LHR on the odd occasion?
Always loved the A310. Remember the good old days at LHR. Cyprus, Lufthansa, Turkish, TAP, Kenya Airways, probably missing a few? My personal favourite if anyone remembers them was Diamond Sakha! Bo)am Absolutely loved Diamond Sakha! They operated some Aeroflot sectors from Moscow that originated f...Jump to post

She surely is a beauty. Many great flights on board the queen, been lucky enough to fly in all cabins but my most memorable flight was when I was young back in the 90s flying on BA from LGW-MIA on BDXK. I visited the cockpit and had a brilliant view of an Alitalia 747 (the special watch scheme) flyi...Jump to post
I was on holiday down in SW Florida and a few years ago I was in a shopping complex car park and saw an Air Berlin A330 heading into RSW. First thoughts a diverted flight until I realised it's an AB service! Sorry to hijack the thread but what will happen to to this service? LH and BA both fly to MI...Jump to post
This has been an enjoyable topic with some great responses. Was going to mention the AC presence at LHR but been beaten to it. I've seen 7 AA aircraft at LHR at one time, 5 scattered across T3 and 2 off pier next to the Fire Station. How many Ethiopian a/c on the ground at the same time at DUB? I kn...Jump to post
Sorry I'm useless at uploading photos but this link is for that pic.
Shows a BA 767 next to a US a320 then 3 744s in a row.
Again sorry if it can't be seen but that's the link to the pic anyway.
With their Huge daily services from the UK and the Open Skies offering what is the highest amount of BA planes on the ground at JFK at its peak?
I've seen a picture on line of 3x 744 in a row with a 767 at the gates, wondering if there's a pic that beats this?
There's an interesting video about Gatwick on YouTube from Business Insider titled; 'Map shows the chaos that ensues when you fly a drone to close to an airport' It shows all the aborted landings, extended holding times and some fuel diversions. Delays went on into the evening. Bo)am https://www.you...Jump to post
To contrast with Lufthansa, look at Finnair. It has two colors too, and white is even more dominant than in LH. And yet, Finnair's livery is classy. Why? Because it has been designed with the brand image in mind, not the cost savings. Think Finland -> snow -> cleanliness -> minimalistic design... L...Jump to post

Think BA operated this route with a B767. will BA be watching this route closely now? With the new A321s coming in could this be a potential future route? Bo)am BA were flying the route some days with a ZFW on a 767 of like 105T. The thing was empty. I’m not sure if the economy of Kazakhstan has im...Jump to post
