Interesting that one PAE-LAX shifts to PHX. Are there any numbers to suggest the PAE-PHX is over performing or that PAE-LAX is under performing? Or as previously suggested this is only a temporary realignment to capture sun seekers in the fall.

NRT-SEA 787-8 service beings in April. Official announcement expected tomorrow.
This has occurred as long as AS has been contracting OO. In Summer 2015 one daily SEA-FAT was operated by the CR2.
Jump to postN758SS (B757) is the Colorado Rockies charter. I know they were in SAN this weekend.
Jump to postThey will both find success in Seattle. I expect DY to go daily in S18 and maintain 4x during the off season.
Jump to postThe G650 is an impressive bird. We had clients fly in on a G650 CAN-BFI in just under 11 hours, about 2 hours faster than DL 38 (HKG-SEA) on the same day. They used 2 crews.
Jump to postMCO, MIA, & PHL all have service to Asia. EK serves MCO-DXB while QR serves PHL/MIA-DOH.
I would expect to see OAK-China before any of these secondary cities.
Governor Jay "Spendslee" Inslee and Seattle Mayor Ed Murray have made Seattle a haven for freaks and losers. We can't even go downtown without some kind of BLM, oil pipeline, immigration, or women's protest. It is sick and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see this happen. To answer your q...
Jump to postBefore AS begins a new destination they should resume PDX-DEN. By far the biggest hole in the AS network.
Jump to postWe will see JL and CX serve SEA soon, and QR will serve SEA within 5 years.
Jump to postJapan and Netherlands have advanced to the Semi-Finals and will be traveling from Tokyo to Los Angeles for the next round of play.
I am curious which airlines and aircraft type will carry the teams.
Any info is appreciated.
I am disappointed AS/JL have yet teamed up for a SEA-NRT. With the AS/DL code share ending this spring, AS will no longer have a partner for SEA-Japan.
I would not be surprised to see JL in SEA by summer 2018.
Was EW scheduled to operate SEA-CGN in October? I believe the original announcement only had the flights operating from July 11 through the end of September.
Jump to postPDX and GEG make the most sense. I like SFO and LAX but not sure AS wants to divert those folks from SEA. They can fly PAE-PDX-SFO/LAX. They just seem loathe to hurt the mothership. G4 routes makes sense.[/quote] I disagree on GEG. I believe any service to PAE will yield significantly lower than SEA...
Jump to post16 total arrivals and departures is pretty thin especially given the crowding at SEA and growing demand around Puget Sound.
I could see AS seeking PDX, SFO, and LAX as well as G4 for LAS and IWA
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/alaska-ai ... 00640.html
Good to see. Hopefully AS or DL will start SEA-MEX soon too.
Makes sense to bring ground handling to their wholly owned subsidiary.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Horizon's ground agents get transferred to McGee as well.
I remember flying on one from SEA-MCO r/t back in 2004 with a full load of spring break families. So it has the capability for transcons, but the economics have obviously been surpassed by the -800 and 900ER.
Nowadays it seems I'm on one every time I fly SEA-LAS.
Interesting to see AS dodge competition at SAN and go with SNA.
Has WN (or anyone else) operated SNA-ABQ in the past?
According to Wikipedia DFW, ORD, & ONT all begin July 1 on Delta Connection. No real source is given.

Typical seasonal down gauge. The 744 will return to fly BA48/49 in the summer.
Jump to postThe cost of a new type would outweigh the benefit of added capacity per flight.
Jump to postThis has to do with the de-ice operation. There is no de-ice pad at SEA and planes are de-iced at the gate. AS is just being proactive. As a former ground agent and de-icer at SEA, I know we practiced for one day on how to use the trucks, a month later we had a night of light snow, but our policy wa...
Jump to postWhile I cannot provide a specific answer I have seen this before and have observed DL park other aircraft on the Tango taxiway, sometimes three or four at once. Maybe this has to do with the movement of aircraft in and out of their hangar which would take away their ability to park aircraft in front...
Jump to postJL is the obvious choice.
I've heard TK floating around the rumor mill here too.
I think it's the lack of suitable gates at SEA during the peak DL times is preventing DL from adding SEA-TPE. BR is adding an early morning arrival into SEA 3X per week starting December (?). What market does EVA Air serve at SEA? It seems like a well performing and long time market for them. I kno...
Jump to postI had the same thing happen to me. The only time it had given me an issue was when I was working as a ground agent and we received a USPS contract. USPS said I could not work in any facet of the operation which dealt with the handling of mail and I subsequently lost my job. Two weeks later I was hir...
Jump to postI was fortunate enough to go on one of these! They bussed us over from the HQ to BFI, they had a lunch provided for us at BFI and we had some time to take pictures with the plane and look in the cockpit. Small ceremony pre-flight with some Boeing and Alaska higher ups, then every one took their seat...

Jump to postThis flight is often weight restricted on departure between pax & skis. This flight normally tops out between 60-65 pax but is (was) sold to to a full 76.
Jump to postThis is a resumption. I cant recall when it was dropped the first time, but hopefully it is here to stay. Should be a good addition.
