Re: Denver Aviation Thread - 2019

Anyone have any idea where this new Southwest hangar is going to be built? I didn't see a location in the article. With Concourses A, B, and C just about built out, I'm sure they wouldn't want to put it where it would interfere with a future Concourse D. Maybe alongside the current UA facility? It ...

Re: United Airlines "Evolution" to Globe Livery coming in April

I have seen a livery on another forum that incorporates what you see on the AMS sign on the tail...looked pretty good IMO. Well... Don't hold out on us! Lol It was on an employee forum, and I agree it looked good. It is quite different than what has been shown here so far FWIW. We'll see if that's ...

Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

Does anyone know why United has 2 flights operating from FRA- EWR and another two flights from MUC- EWR today? I thought both of these routes were once daily. Here are the flight numbers FRA- EWR, UA 961, registration N66057 UA 83, registration N78004 MUC- EWR, UA 49, registration N2737U UA 31, reg...

Re: Atlas Air 3591 Down in Trinity Bay, Texas

The Unreliable Airspeed training is why I think there was also control surface damage. The pilots can sort out the UnrelAS, esp. after the publicity from Lion Air... but if the elevator and/or horizontal stab don't respond .... Name one scenario that can keep an airplane intact but render complete ...

Re: United Fleet Upgrade Status - 2018

Thanks. I'm wondering if the removal of DTV on 753 units have the WiFi switching from KA to KU band. Wondering new delivery 739 and 39M units along with some 737s that have had DTV removal are KA or KU band WiFi? IIRC, the 739s had KA band WiFi and the 739Max aircraft changed to something else - so...

If you need a special issuance then look for Dr. Bob Sancetta in Boulder, he's the best in the Denver area for that.

Could someone provide a translation?

B flights are Boeing flights prior to delivery (B3 would be the 3rd Boeing flight), C flights are customer flights (acceptance flights for example)........not sure what a T flight is.

Re: UA considering converting A35K order to A359 and/or A330

It would be a separate bid position for us though many current or former Airbus pilots will likely bid it in higher numbers, myself included. The Captain on a recent flight to Japan had an A350 Certified tag on his bag. I'd heard a few were already trained. Btw - to those suggesting UA pilots are r...

Re: UA considering converting A35K order to A359 and/or A330

Some info regarding the A350s Apparently doesn't have appropriate crew rest facilities to comply with the contract and 117 rules. No fixes from Airbus so pilots can't fly any augmented flying in the A350. So changes could be coming eliminating the A350 order. While there may be issues with the crew...

Re: AA/DL/UA Urge GSA to Overturn Route Awards to B6/EK

Isn't the issue here that Fly America was applicable because UA was an incumbent airline flying IAD-DXB with their own metal and the new GSA route was given to an airline code-sharing on foreign metal. IAD-VIE is apples/oranges as no US flagged carrier has their own metal on the route, thus the code...
