I'm sure I've never flown on a 737-600 and pretty sure I've never flown on a 737-100. I haven't flown on a 737 Max yet. Also never flown on an A318, A319 and the newer NEO A320 / A321 variants.
Jump to postI visited earlier in the year. I think the entry fee was 120THB or so per person but that also included a drink from Black Canyon. I have paid more than that for drinks alone at other Black Canyons in Thailand so I thought it was a very good deal. Nice to be able to just walk around the plane and ha...
Jump to postI've probably been on a flight which has been photographed by somebody and published on airliners.net. No idea which flight, which country, or even which year... but after flying for enough years, somebody will almost certainly have taken a photo of an aircraft while I was inside and put it on a.ne...
Jump to postSorry if this has already been discussed, does anybody here know if JQ still has any domestic sectors like SYD-MEL on the 787-8? Trying to plan something in April from SYD, like a triangle route, in which I can log a JQ788 and a Bonza 737 Max, something like SYD-MEL-MCY then either MCY / BNE / OOL-S...
Jump to postGiven that TG already have the 787-8 & 787-9 in their fleet, if they follow past habits of ordering a few of every type / sub-type, they will probably order at least 1 x 787-10 ;) Whilst the 787-10 can handle the TG European, Asian and Australian / NZ routes, it could also be used on the higher ...

Jump to postLiving in Australia it took a lot of effort for me to log 757 flights. I think Air Niugini was the only recent carrier to operate a 757 into AU and that stopped years ago. There is a yellow DHL 757 that flies (or used to fly) between AU and NZ quite often. I may have flown on 757s when I was younger...
Jump to postBased on where this plane was in its journey, is it possible they initiated their decent right before the dive? Checking the flight from the previous day, it looks like they started roughly at the same point. That's what I noticed too. One theory could be that they initiated the descent, which trig...

Jump to postI really wish the people who know nothing about Malaysian politics would stop trying to push the idea someone would kill themselves and hundreds of others - for no obvious gain except to make some kind of point - because of a poltical scuffle which is quite run-of-the-mill over there. Jump to postThere is an intriguing new segment by 60 Minutes Australia on Godfrey's theory. Jump to postMy first flight was on a Qantas 747 back in the mid 80s, SYD-HNL-SFO-HNL-SYD.
My last flight was on a Qantas 747. I flew BNE-SYD last Nov just to log a 747-400ER and am so glad I did that. Out of 55ish flights on a 747 that was the only time I flew on the rare ER.
Seems like tickets for the Qantas 747 farewell flights are not on sale right on midday. Anyone else having luck? I can't find any links or anything... The most likely scenario by far is still that the Captain, a very experienced 777 pilot who knew the region very well and whose possible motives have been discussed, intentionally did this.
