Not sure what this could signify, but I just saw a TV commercial for Southwest in Chicago promoting nonstop international service from MDW. Aside from the existing CUN, MBJ, and PUJ, the ad also showed BZE and PVR as nonstop cities.

I've noticed the same with Southwest in the US. I always wondered why Southwest regularly flies at an altitude between 38,000-40,000 feet, significantly higher than other airlines.
