Re: Australian Aviation Thread - March 2020

The XJ info would have much more weight if it came from someone senior in Commercial Dept. You can believe what you want. What he said is exactly what senior management had passed on to staff. I've got no reason to doubt him. As for their expectations only they could tell you what the expectations ...

Does anyone know when (if) Thai Air Asia X will start sending the A330neo to BNE? Probably once they take delivery of more of them, the second one has just been delivered They are only taking two for the time being. BNE will see them soon. A tragedy very close to home. My fiancé's closest friend was a cabin crew member on board MH17. A cruel twist of fate was she was called on her day off to operate the flight, she said yes as a favour since the head of crewing was a friend of hers.

Re: Thai Airways pilot on ZRH-BKK refuses to fly because his friends couldn't get First Class seats

Based on what I gather, the scheduled 77W for this flight was subbed with a 744, which created some complications. It may have led to mismatched crew, for one thing, and it also led to a situation in which J passengers were able to assign themselves to the F cabin, which is not sold for this flight...

The chance of that flight either having an equipment swap to a Q400 or being cancelled outright is very, very high. Yes there are errors in the article however, TG have not been informed of a decision by CASA despite nearly 120 days passing since the application. There's been no reason supplied for the delay either.

Before you speculate the Incident at HKT had zero to do with it.
