Re: Atlas Air 3591 Down in Trinity Bay, Texas

My understanding is that the ATC recording indicates that more than one person was in the cockpit as this unfolded. Unless we consider that there was some conspiracy between them, (which is straight out of Hollywood) then deliberate pilot action is ruled out. Pilot suicide/murder was a possibility ...

Re: Atlas Air 3591 Down in Trinity Bay, Texas

Is there a way to find out the other aircraft that flew over or with 5 miles above this flight’ path within the previous 3-5 minutes before it happened? One thing that hasn’t been mentioned is could it possibly flown into a severe wake, causing it to flip, consequently recovering from the flip causi...

LAX Imperial Hill question

Hi everyone,

Can anyone give me an address to put into the Uber app or a point to where I can go to Imperial Hill to watch planes today? Other than flying into and out of the airport, I am not familiar with the area. So, a specific point would be most helpful.

Thanks you much

Re: David Neeleman Raising Funds for New U.S. Airline

Another thing to consider is where will they get their pilots from? Most of the regionals are paying 70-80 first year, that’s a big difference from 15 years ago. Granted part of that is a bonus. Plus, most regionals are offering some sort of flow. Will crewing these planes be an issue?

A lot of people are asking about the pilot flying (PF), pilot not flying (PNF) roles. At my company, the PF gives the briefing. Part of the briefing is “I will fly and communicate, you will fix.” I believe the reason for this is to allow the PNF the ability to run the quick reference checks without ...

I know the 757 issue has been beaten to death on here. Everyone knows that no matter what Boeing does to the 737, it will not fully fill the 757 void.
