Re: Malaysian Airlines 9M-MMD MH609 Kuala Lumpur - Singapore | Photos and Video

Malaysia's 734 always mean alot to me since my first ever flight (the long dead IPH-KUL route) in 2001 was on a MH 734. Miss seeing the MH plane at my hometown airport nowadays.

Re: Qantas, AirAsia, food and trains in Sydney, Singapore and Penang

I have quite an interest in Malaysian trains so the pictures of the KTM Class 24 and Class 93 instantly hooked me into reading your report. It must be an experience to ride the train all the way from Penang to Singapore. Personally never done that but it used to much more convenient without the need...

Re: Experiencing Malaysia Airlines’ brand new A350-900 Business Class

Nice of you to have tried this bird out in J and F. I only managed to fit a trip in Y into my budget and schedule. The satay is sure delicious. Nice report. It seems the F seat is the same as the J seat. Is that the case? I "sat" in the F seat after arrival by "invitation" of the...

Re: Malaysia Airlines A350 First Commercial Flight KUL-PEN

Thanks for the report- always nice to see a new model with a new carrier. MH branding is so weak, there is no cohesion. Lounge, livery to onboard to advertising nothing links. The interior of this new aircraft again reflects that, bland and without any distinguishing finishes. Always disappointing ...

Malaysia Airlines A350 First Commercial Flight KUL-PEN

https://i.imgur.com/jCpbvHw.jpg Malaysia Airlines took delivery of their first Airbus A350-900 recently and is starting to operate them on regional flights to PEN and BKK from 9/12/17. I booked MH1140 to PEN just days before in a sale and since I don’t have much on hand, a return back on the same n...

Re: MH to place order for 25 widebodies by end of 2017

I guess it is because the 339 cant reach europe without load restrictions unlike the 788/789? If the 7810 is chosen then it should be for its extra capacity. However, as a Malaysian it wouldn't surprise me to know that this order is of some political agenda. I do think the 789 is the best option for...

Re: AirAsia X A330neo to feature 440 seats

Why are airlines bragging so much about how many seats are places on airplane these days, they have no shame. A330 should be 8 seats per row not 9. Air Asia X is a ULCC, there is a point at which its too ridiculous and 440 seats on a A330-300 is just silly. Airbus and Boeing should be shamed for al...

Re: Australian B737-800s: Qantas & Virgin Australia J

The seat pitch looks kind of tight for a J product comapred to the 738 that is used around my place (Malaysia) by Malaysia and Malindo. The service sure does look nice though.

Re: First 737 MAX delivered to Malindo Air

Interesting that they have also opted to remove PTVs given that the rest of their 737 fleet is equipped with them. Pitch has also been reduced to 31 inches from 32. Last i heard they established themselves as a Full Service Carrier. Is this now being reconsidered? I flew with them last year to KTM ...

I think you got the wrong photo for the "MH KUL check in area" in the beginning. Anyway, nice TR. I really wanted to travel in peninsular Malaysia with diesel locomotives. Definitely someday! I saw the error too late. It is unfortunate that posts are unable to be edited after a few hours ...

Around the Malayan Peninsula in 35 Hours with Malaysia Airlines and the Jungle Railway

Since I am graduating from college soon, I decided that it is time to do something crazy while I still can. As I am an avid train enthusiast too (and airplanes!), it is time for me to take a ride on East Coast Line of the Malaysian railway system. Compared to the modern and electrified west coast ma...

The airports around my place (Malaysia) are all quite logically name except Kota Kinabalu which somehow got stuck with BKI and Miri with MYY. I still sometimes confuse London Gatwick and Langkawi with LGW and LGK respectively.

KLIA has security at individual gates, meaning arriving and departing passengers are mixed together. it is indeed possible to go to the satellite terminal and back without any issues. However, spotting opportunities are quite limited due to the above mentioned security at the gate since the tarmac i...

Re: Malaysia's JCL Russian Roulette - Langkawi bound with MH

Yeah I agree the aluminium foil looks a little tacky. I just clocked another JCL flight on MH last week and these aluminium cup made an appearance too. But this time it was satay on a very short hop. Satay isn't meant to be classy. Hehehehe... I've also seen aluminium foils used to hold sauces in A...

KUL-BKI-KUL: A Retrospective on Rayani Air and Malaysia Airlines Business Class

This report is written about one year ago. I decided to post this because I think it should be an interesting read alongside another report I wrote recently and would hopefully let more people read about the flight experience on board a now defunct airline. This report was already posted elsewhere s...

Malaysian Hospitality to Labuan in Business (KUL-LBU)

The trip was done on September last year but the urge to write about it only appeared now so the information might be a bit dated. The photos are not very good since it was taken by my phone (which was upgraded since my previous report, yay!). This trip was taken with my brother and another friend a...

I was offered it on Malindo, but I declined. On Batik, I was just happy with water when queried about my drink choice. I am not one for alcohol in flight so you're asking the wrong person! Hahahaha... will make it a point the next time I get on Batik to see if they have wine. Cheers Ryan I remember...
