Seems to me that using U.S. bankruptcy laws to dump billions in pension obligations, contracts that are no longer favored etc is a form of subsidy. Perhaps not directly given by govt but certainly allowed by it via the laws of the U.S. So I always chuckle when I hear our carriers moaning about ME3 ...
