How about TPA/MCO-BOS? They are logical adds in my opinion and don't know why WN never flew those routes. B6 had the BOS-TPA route for themselves for a while and then DL jumped in with 2 daily flights and now going up to 3. With DL, B6 and NK all serving the market with up to 9 flights as day South...

Delta dropping down to 3 flights DTW-TPA seems surprising given that this is at least 5 or 6 flights a day most times of the year.

TPA gets hit pretty good by the F9 reductions as well.

One bit of good news for TPA is the add by DL to BOS. Three a day. Looks like they are starting to give JetBlue a run for their money?

Much as I'm a fan of DL, I'd rather have the new route then a second airline on an existing route. My guess is AS and PDX. I wouldn't hold your breath that Delta starts SLC any time soon. It's obvious that they take TPA for granted. Southwest is by far and away the largest airline in TPA. I get that, but that doesn't answer why they fly RDU/SLC, CLT/SLC, MSY/SLC and MIA/SLC just to name a few places that they serve nonstop from SLC and that are not as big a mainline station as either TPA or FLL for that matter.

And you've had USAF planes land at civilian airports by mistake as well. Just a few years ago there was a C-17 that was supposed to land at MacDill AFB and landed by mistake at Peter O'Knight (KTPF) just a few miles north of MacDill. There are a number of videos on YouTube showing the C-17 taking off.

Another spot that features quite a bit of GA and some commercial spotting is just off the end of PIE's runway 36R. There's a vacant field that you can park in and watch all of the Allegiant flights come and go. What makes this a great spot is that it is also a busy airport for the USCG, so there are...
