Doesn’t WN have a plane or two painted in the old gold livery?
Jump to postI would think that both NK and F9 have tried more markets and then later stopped flying them from TPA than all of the other legacy carriers combined.
It’s just dizzying.
Great news on SAN and AS. I flew TPA-SAN when WN was running it. But it seems that WN has been more interested in adding services to newer cities than to add to the Tampa’s, Orlando’s, etc.
Jump to postPlease bring back TPA-AMS or TPA-CDG if adding at AMS is problematic.
Jump to postThanks for doing this. Those are some really unbelievable totals for WN out of Florida. ULCCs are killing them in these markets. Also, LAX remains way down compared to pre-COVID times. They've got a bit more winter seasonal flying out of Florida but yea - the ULCCs are destroying them on the low en...
Jump to postDelta also flew from ATL to ARN for at least a while in the late 2000s.
Jump to postOverall it seems to be an across the board cutback in schedules for Southwest.
Jump to postTPA got spanked by AA in the MIA-TPA route going from 7 down to 2.
Jump to postAny day you can do it’s fine. Really appreciate all of the hard work and time you put into this, Enilria.
Thanks.
BA is showing flights from LGW to both MCO and TPA in August. I thought they had shut down LGW service to the states. Wishful thinking?
Jump to postIt looks like an overall reduction by WN in August flying period. I see very few adds both short-haul and long-haul for the month or am I not reading this right?
Jump to postEnilira, you mention that it looks like BA is going back to LGW.
I wonder what that means for stations like MCO and TPA? Will we see a return of flights from LGW in those markets?
As always, thanks for what you do.
You mention that it looks like BA is going back to LGW.
I wonder what that means for stations like MCO and TPA? Will we see a return of flights from LGW in those markets?
Was the build up of TPA to Europe service overdone in the past few years, perhaps. And I get that all bets are off with Covid-19 and the response of all airlines. But obviously BA found TPA to be a profitable and worthwhile destination given that they’ve been flying between the two cities for at lea...
Jump to postNo B6 love for TPA? Down 2 from both BOS and JFK. What's up with that?
Jump to postDoes the TPA flight return when the MAX issue is resolved?
Jump to postBig cut on the FLL-TPA route by WN. Is that MAX related? I wouldn’t think so but who knows.
Jump to postJust a quick look shows 35 flights out of Tampa tomorrow and all appear to be mainline.

I'll be honest, that's a very ugly design.
Enilria Ty for your contributions to this forum and thread. I look forward to reading it each week I'll echo this statement in saying that I do as well. While I do agree with some posters here that the additional commentary comes across as peculiar at times, the time and effort to compile the data ...
Jump to postany chance that they go to 2x a day SEA-TPA?
Jump to postIt looks like the Bucs are using Delta and the flight number is 8875.
Jump to postI believe that the other elevator bank at TPA is named after Neil Armstrong.
Jump to postThe loss of SAN-TPA even if it is just seasonal has to be a blow to the folks at TPA.
Jump to postSeems like a big capacity cut for 3M. Is it just seasonal or other issues?
Jump to postHow about TPA/MCO-BOS? They are logical adds in my opinion and don't know why WN never flew those routes. B6 had the BOS-TPA route for themselves for a while and then DL jumped in with 2 daily flights and now going up to 3. With DL, B6 and NK all serving the market with up to 9 flights as day South...
Jump to postI thought Allegiant had gone all Airbus from PIE but I noticed today an MD80 taking off today and in checking their schedule I noticed at least one other flight from PIE today on Allegiant that was an MD80.
Jump to postDelta dropping down to 3 flights DTW-TPA seems surprising given that this is at least 5 or 6 flights a day most times of the year.
Jump to postTPA gets hit pretty good by the F9 reductions as well.
One bit of good news for TPA is the add by DL to BOS. Three a day. Looks like they are starting to give JetBlue a run for their money?
I always thought that the deicing process at TPA was waiting for the sun to come out and do its thing. I never thought that they actually had deicing equipment.
Jump to postWas on the SFO-TPA nonstop on 12/7, which was a Thursday, and there were just some scattered middle seats open so I'd guess it was close to 90% full if not higher.
Jump to postWell that's disappointing. It looks like Delta's much anticipated TPA-SLC nonstop takes a hiatus for almost the entire month of January and half of February, per Enilria's update on schedule changes post from this morning. I wonder what's up with that?
Jump to postMuch as I'm a fan of DL, I'd rather have the new route then a second airline on an existing route. My guess is AS and PDX. As for all of the consternation on whether TPA is a smaller airport or not, being the fourth biggest airport by flights and passengers in the state of Florida is nothing to snee...
Jump to postAnother thought, maybe she showed up less than 10 minutes before departure and they released her seat. Then she showed up and was told her seat had been given away.
Jump to postI find the turnabout fascinating here. Delta wants access to Love Field and has to litigate to get it. Now JetBlue wants access to Hartsfield and may have to litigate to get it. Too crazy.
Jump to postAlso, interesting to note that there were no reductions in DAL flying. I wonder if that has anything to do with the on-going battle over the gates at Love Field.
Jump to postNo LUV for the Florida stations in this release. Between Orlando, Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale there is a cut of 50 flights.
Jump to postavi8 wrote:It wouldn't shock me if TPA-SEA was announced. Some argue SLC would come first but I'm guessing it's more about SEA than TPA.
Didnt Delta operate TPA-SLC for years and years?? I dont think it would require too much of an incentive to get them on that route. Here is a trip review. I think the biggest problem is you are overflying ATL for most of the connections but if the airport is willing to cough up some money, i bet yo...
Jump to postI wouldn't hold your breath that Delta starts SLC any time soon. It's obvious that they take TPA for granted. Southwest is by far and away the largest airline in TPA. Delta used to be the second biggest but isn't anymore falling behind AA. I don't think Delta even has as many flights from TPA now th...
Jump to postI get that, but that doesn't answer why they fly RDU/SLC, CLT/SLC, MSY/SLC and MIA/SLC just to name a few places that they serve nonstop from SLC and that are not as big a mainline station as either TPA or FLL for that matter.
Jump to postI still don't see how they don't fly RT TPA/SLC. TPA is one of their larger stations and it's like they don't even care to make an effort there.
Jump to postI was on NA flight 30 in July of 1978 from SFO to TPA. What I can't remember is where that flight stopped. Was it SFO to IAH and then TPA or was it SFO to MSY and then TPA? Does anyone have a timetable that they can help with?
Jump to postAnd you've had USAF planes land at civilian airports by mistake as well. Just a few years ago there was a C-17 that was supposed to land at MacDill AFB and landed by mistake at Peter O'Knight (KTPF) just a few miles north of MacDill. There are a number of videos on YouTube showing the C-17 taking off.
Jump to postAnother spot that features quite a bit of GA and some commercial spotting is just off the end of PIE's runway 36R. There's a vacant field that you can park in and watch all of the Allegiant flights come and go. What makes this a great spot is that it is also a busy airport for the USCG, so there are...
