Re: Simple Flying's inaccurate aviation articles

I've just made it a point to ignore their articles. If a title grabs my attention, I'll search it and pull up a better source for the news.

Re: Delta 767-300ER stored?

There is a repair station at MCI so it's probably in for a check. 22 days doesn't seem unreasonable.

Re: 737NG Pickle fork issue

The 767s have had picklefork issues so it's not uncommon. I'm not sure what they were since I've never been personally involved but I think it sometimes required replacement. That said, I don't understand how Boeing workers would have found a cracked picklefork on an in-service B737. I didn't think ...

Re: Who will take Thomas Cook’s planes

Let's rephrase their question. Who do you think the leasing company will re-lease these aircraft after they repossess them from Thomas Cook?

Re: AA Fleet Updates - 2019

The A321 Oasis mod looks identical to the A321NX, just the difference in seat configuration based off the doors. So look up trip reports on those and you'll see. There could well be pictures of the mod, as N161UW has been flying around post prototype since spring. The new 737 bins are different, the...

Re: CLT A Expansion and SkyClub

Adding the SkyClub is more a function of the expansion of A giving them room to add it. Original A was pretty confined. The renovations to the concourses have been pretty impressive in my opinion. I don't see DL adding LAX from CLT as AA would defend that pretty heavily. As one of the fastest growi...

I think the part 2 was only for Tell Me Why. I don't think there's any more imminent announcements after listening to Vasu.

Here's a cool interactive map of the destinations: http://news.aa.com/American-Airlines-Summer-2020-Network/ they linked in their press release, which is formatted much nicer than the one above: http://news.aa.com/news/news-details/2019/American-Airlines-Increases-International-Presence-Makes-First-...

Re: American Airlines MD-80 Retirement Discussion Thread

501 is also the only AA delivered (as opposed to TWA delivered) MD80 left in the fleet. I'm guessing that they plan on using it in the retirement ceremonies, otherwise I'm not sure why it soldiers on; it's much older than the others.

Re: Rumor: American Airlines To Introduce Free WiFi

AA hasn't "committed" to providing power ports at all seats but they have indicated it will be on all aircraft within 5 years. The MD80, E190, and 767 will be retired in the next two years; those won't get modified. The A319 fleet has it, the A320 fleet has a few aircraft with it, more to ...

AA should be done the B772 interior retrofit by the end of the year. Most will be the B/E seats shown in this article: http://thepointsguy.com/2016/11/new-american-airlines-777-200-retrofit-tour/

Collection of Forum Thread Topics

So I've been browsing airliners.net for sometime (first time poster) and noticed how many continuing threads exist. I decided to make a post compiling these links so they're easy to find. I've tried to organize them in categories and alphanumerically where possible by city/aircraft. I went through t...
