So essentially DL is shifting one of their LHR slots for winter from DTW (x2 to x1) to SLC (x0 to x1). Maybe capture some ski traffic plus Mountain West connections? It is probably worth a try. Deja vu of 2010-11. It basically doesn't fly all winter past Christmas now. I doubt we'll see MSP-HNL increased to compensate.

Winter is the peak time in Hawaii. If they’re trimming service at the peak season something’s not right.

DTW-AMS on KLM is long overdue. And why is that? There are already 4 flights on that route. One of them an A350. Obviously SkyTeam feels that’s plenty. That's the downside to having one-offs. Since the A350 doesn't fly regularly from MSP they either have to fly in a crew or wait until the crew comes off rest.
