Sometimes companies use cannibalisation to eliminate a current product. It's a common ploy for marketers to do this. It's possible that Qantas may attempt to leave the route later if the new service takes off.

The city loaction numbers aren't in the right places for several of them. They show PIA where <acronym title="Springfield - Abraham Lincoln Capital (SPI / KSPI), USA - Illinois">SPI</acronym> should be and then MidAmerica is shown near Carbondale/Marion.
