There are some people critical of this move as we need money for health care, teachers, etc. however, while I feel that's true,this could hopefully lead to tourism and that's a huge economic driver here.

I don't quite get the hate. I fly turboprops here on the east coast of Canada fairly often (and occasionally between YTZ-YUL) mainly on 1900s and Q400s, and I really don't find them all that uncomfortable or noisy. (ok, maybe the Beech's can be somewhat uncomfortable)

It seems certain airlines assign even numbers to a particular direction (IE eastbound) and odd numbers the opposite.

Thanks for the report. Seattle to Toronto is indeed a long flight for the E-Jet, and I'm not sure the food is really up to scratch. Nearly 4hr30 in the air and only a plate of fruit to eat? Very stingy indeed. The proper business seat and TV are nice additions, but the food really lets the product ...

For the YHZ-FLL part, there are 2 other carriers (AC and TS) that also fly it dseasonally, so I can understand why they wanted to cut it if it wasn't profitable enough, seeing as there's already a fair amount of competition on the route

Air Canada has angled lie flat seats in business class on their 777/787fleet....with access to aisles...(haven’t flown the AC A330) Having flown BA, Emirates, United, KLM, and American in business over the last two years....I enjoy Air Canada’s product the most. I doubt there's enough of a market....there are a lot of Asian students, but I highly doubt a non-stop flight would be worthwhile, even on a seasonal basis. Student traffic are highly seasonal and not exactly high yield anyway. Bilateral aside, when bigger cities like YUL only get 4/wk to PEK and 1...

No need for it, and it's added weight. Converted 744s have part of the floor 'cut out' as far as I know to reduce weight.

That makes better sense.. They are seasonal...... Andrew Even if they weren't, they'd have no issues in winter either. Great to see that AC will be using the MAX on transatlantic routes other than YYT-LHR. I'd guess they'll use one on YHZ-LHR in winter (while these new Irish routes aren't operating...
