So if Boeing submit everything required in October (and it is proves to be acceptable to FAA) what's the minimum delay before re-certification? 4 weeks? 6 weeks? Longer? Then how long to implement changes on the first stored aircraft and bring it back to airworthiness after storage? 2 weeks? 4 week...

If the manual trim wheel cannot be relied on to function - then the failure mitigation for the trim system does not work. If the authorities were serious about their job (and you must assume this is a big wake up call) then that simply won't do[1], thus the problem has expanded far beyond just MCAS...

Jump to postIcelandair has leased in two additional 767 aircraft until September 2019 to partly replace the grounded 737MAX aircraft that are grounded.
The airline is also actively looking for a 3rd 767 aircraft.
There is too much competition and not enough of a market. Most airlines (specially large low-costs like Ryanair or easyJet) have unrealistic yearly growth expectations (like 10% or 15%). There is simply not enough market for that. So those big fishes (Ryanair, easyJet, Wizzair, EU3) increasingly ea...
Jump to postHow is the fix really a fix? If MCAS is switched off automatically, we have an aircraft without MCAS. Jump to postRegarding the grounding off the 737MAX. IMO the FAA and Boeing have made a huge mistake, not having being the lead to ground the frame after the accident in Ethiopia.
