Air travel on the RSW-LAX route is not seasonal. It would need to be year-round to be viable. Next time you are in an FLL airport parking garage look at all the Collier County plates. Non-stop service from RSW to anywhere is not much more than 35 years ago when I came to Naples

The Irony is that "Fly Jamaica" is not legally a Jamaican carrier but a "Guyanese" one. Complicated situation but they have been struggling since their inception and never lived up to the iconic reputation that was "Air Jamaica."

I experienced the fixed shell premium economy on a CI 777-300 between JFK and TPE about 2 years ago and what a difference it made in my trip, cannot say enough for it. Why more airlines have not used the fixed shell seating beats me!

GEO canned by AA before it ever started! Yes, ZERO'd out availability for all future dates in 2019 in GDSs Amadeus and Sabre for non-stop MIA-GEO. Call to AA reservations said 4 X weekly service no longer being offered. I would love to know the story behind this!

The flight times are out on AA's new MIA-GEO service. About 6pm southbound from MIA but being an immediate turn around, departure from GEO is at 1:15am arrival MIA at 455am. Non-stop is certainly attractive but I will stick with BW or PY, much more humane flight times!

AA will be downgrading the MIA-BGI route to the Max 8 as well I must say the A321 was a vast improvement over the 757 with the IFE the inflight wifi does not work much after the Bahamas.It also works out to around 2500 seats less in a year this coupled with the basic economy I can see a lot of Bajan...

That's an old story from 2-3 years back when they had 2 767s in their fleet. Now they are gone from their fleet just about a year. SXM as well will take years to recover from the hurricane so bottom line, ain't going to happen!

Keep in mind that those just south of RSW, meaning in Naples, alternatively and regularly use FLL which is only 45 minutes further than driving from Naples to RSW. FLL gives us quite a good selection of flights and often much better fares. Non-stop West Coast to RSW surely won't happen in my lifetime.
