Re: Qatar Business Class Ground Service Question

Qatar Airways doesn't include any sort of complimentary chauffeur drive with their business class tickets but taxis are easy to organise from the airport to the hotel and back again and it's not a long ride from the airport to the JW Marriott (in the region of 15-20 minutes). If you want to prebook ...

Re: AA Upgrade Insight

I am asking is there any pattern/science to when they change the pricing.? You know, Wednesday is the best day to book theory. It's really going to be based on demand, not just random days when the price comes down. In practice, those theories are not really that accurate, airlines don't just arbit...

Re: UA downgrades SFO-HKG and EWR-HKG

I'm specifically talking about the "why would anyone fly a 2-4-2 on such a long flight". BA operates some flights that are longer than UA's HKG flights like LHR-SCL using a 2-4-2 in a 789. Just a minor correction, Club World is only 2-4-2 on 744, 77W, 772 and A380 main deck. On the A380 u...

Re: Misinformation from Malaysia Airlines

A lot of airline tickets have a min and max stay on the ticket which determines the validity of the ticket, max stays can be anywhere from one to 12 months. As far as I am aware, those min and max stay dates do not change regardless of what you do to the ticket so if you purchased a ticket in April ...

Granted I'm flying in economy with Malaysia Airlines but I paid to reserve seat 74K on the lower deck (no seat in front, next to window) and 33A (upper deck emergency exit window seat) because they were only like £25 each and for 13 hours of comfort that's nothing. Why does the A380 have a leading edge droop device (or at least what looks like them) inboard of Engines 2 and 3 instead of slats like on the other areas of the wing? Was it because the wing root was too thick to support traditional slats?
