Re: 'I had to crawl': Amputee seeks damages after United Airlines and airport security seize scooter batteries

Everyone seems to focus on a high-tech solution to a high-tech problem, namely the battery operated motorized scooter. Seems to me that an old fashioned, pushed or self propelled wheelchair would have solved the problem. If nobody in the family , or the man himself was able to push the wheelchair I’...

I once had to deal with an elderly gentleman who had intermittent dementia and was incontinent. He worn adult diapers but didn’t realize when he had “filled one up”.
The smell was unbearable. Perhaps this was a similar situation?

Looking at the Wikipedia entry fleet listing I’m surprised they used an ex-UAL non-fan 720-022 as late as 1989. Weren’t most of these retired by then?

Capital ordered the L-188 Electra but merged with United before delivery and the order was cancelled. Somewhere on the web there is a photo of the Lockheed assembly line showing 2 Electra’s in a full new Capital livery, can’t find it now but I did locate several articles about it via Google. Ever been afraid of a certain aircraft type?

I know this is an odd question but has been on my mind for years. In my early teens I was afraid of flying on DC-9's. In my mind they were seemed, at least to me, to be prone to midair collisions. TWA over Urbana, Alleghenies over New Fairland, Iberia over France, Airwest over Duarte, Aeromexico ove...

United also donated a DC-8 to a museum in Los Angeles. Originally in the Tulip livery, it has since been repainted into the original 1960's livery. It used to sit on its gear, now up on pylons. N8066U.

Quick question, why on most 3/2 planes is the 3 seat section on the right and 2 on the left?
I prefer the 2 seat rows.

Happy new year all, I know that most of the Soviet era airliners had Cyrillic lettering on the instruments and controls. I think I've seen a few photos of export models in Spanish for Cubana. For some reason I assumed that after FedEx 705, cargo a/c would have secure cockpit doors. Obviously I was wrong.
