None of the company rigs I’ve seen have sleeper rigs. UPS Freight (now TForce Freight) did/does. But you're right, never seen one on a regular UPS truck. FedEx definitely uses teams. I have no knowledge of this particular incident but US CBP can be accommodating in IROPS situations. I would imagine AF bussed the pax to YYZ. The aircraft was F-HRBI and it looks like it is still in CLE.

If an entity is going to break the sanctions regulations and divert an aircraft to Iran, I doubt they would be sticklers for type ratings on pilot certificates. As long as they get their money, people will look the other way.

Groupo Avexpress provides ground handling services for Volaris in TIJ. They aren't Volaris employees. Avexpress also handles United at some stations in Mexico.

That would have to be a tall container to reach anywhere close to the bulk compartment door on an MD-11. Amazing how much damage is "found" and not reported considering it must leave a mark on the container, too. It can't be too hard to figure out who pulled the container or review the CCT...
