Hm... AC going rowdy on the return to US cities including BDL, etc.... shall we plan for the border to re-open by then and flights like that coming back into cities like BDL, BWI, CMH, etc?Jump to post
Probably still missed a few: LIT-ATL starts Nov 5; 1x daily https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2020/oct/01/southwest-to-start-lr-atlanta-route/?latest WN moved up the start dates on some ATL routes, SDF/OKC/OMA now start on Nov 5 Holiday SDF-RSW & AUS-SLC When are all these additions?? Some non-service BDL news, CAA is adding several new enticing concession options to both concourse's at BDL.

For SEA, I think DL would be the most likely carrier given their presence on both ends of the route, though if AA does not resume LAX, I think that may be a better add for them. I was told by a friend who works for AA that the LAX flight is discontinued in Jan/Feb because of the strong east to west...Jump to post
On the BDL front... I was told this past week by an inside undisclosed source at BDL that CAA is "working" on a flight to SEA or PDX (most likely SEA) as well as "London". What "London" means is beyond me... Heathrow? Gatwick? Stansted? I'm assuming that one could possi...Jump to post
Hot off the press, another new route for F9 at BDL, nonstop service to MIA starts 11/14/19. Nice add for F9, good pick up of winter birds and some new competition for AA to MIA and should help bring fares down a bit I'd think. Thoughts? https://bradleyairport.com/2019/07/23/bradley-international-air...Jump to post

https://www.courant.com/news/connecticut/hc-biz-bradley-southwest-airlines-las-vegas-20190209-w76xxmvlmnb7nbnffs7w3jqy2y-story.html Surprising to be honest. Always remember that flight being close to full or full, if not oversold. Wonder if this brings up WN trying PHX-BDL instead in the near future...Jump to post

Via Air has just announced new focus cities at BHM and PIT. Adding service to MEM, BDL and onestop service to AUS from PIT. Good add for BDL to get PIT back after OneJet failed, and I'd say a decent add for PIT and a more established carrier with a more reliable product. Thoughts? https://pittsburgh...Jump to post
if the A220 can work with the short runway at HVN, i’m sure moxy will take full advantage. I agree. The reason HVN is so "sad" is that it hasn't had any decently priced service in years. flying to Hubs is expensive and connecting through them are expensive so people drive to BDL, HPN or P...Jump to post
Contour Airlines is planning to announce a new destination or two from MCN (Macon, GA) in addition to the BWI service they already fly from Macon.
Per the Middle Georgia Regional Airport's Facebook page, the announcement is tomorrow.
Any guesses? I guessed BNA.
I was told by a source who works at BDL that LH reps were at BDL last week.... is this a sign that LH could open FRA-BDL with another incentive-laden deal like what was done with EI to start DUB? I would think LH could make it happen with a 321neo once they get them? Anyone know any scoop if this a ...Jump to post
PWM-RSW non-stop, you say? Wow, that sounds like a thin market. PWM doesn't even sustain year-round non-stop to Orlando. You aren't kidding. If PWM can't sustain year round nonstop to MCO on WN, I don't see PWM-RSW working for sure, like a lot of other F9 routes they announce and then cancel 3 mont...Jump to post
Just announced that F9 will expand to 6 new cities from RSW in November.
Added: ALB, LAS, PHX, PWM, SLC, and SYR.
Nothing on Frontier's Facebook page yet but it was on RSW's Facebook page first and no official start date in November.
Any info? Any other cities being added on F9 from ALB and SYR?
Here goes the first route for PVD to lose on DY..... next up EDI and BFS? Those are my guesses. No exact date, but sometime in October this year according to the article. Good news for BDL I'd say. Wouldn't surprise me if they move this service up to BOS and start scaling back more at PVD... apparen...Jump to post
Apparently ORH is announcing a new airline on Monday... http://www.masslive.com/news/worcester/index.ssf/2018/04/worcester_regional_airport_is.html Elite? Since Norwegian just pulled out the other day, and the only other news for BDL is WN is starting STL once a day in August... what's next? Great news for BDL and AC.... BDL-YUL is down to 2 daily but up-gauged to Dash 8's instead and no more Beech 1900's at BDL. YYZ went to 4x daily all Dash 8 and no more 1900's. Great news for BDL and is a sign AC is doing great there!Jump to post

I guess with BDL getting UA to resume SFO since it did so well this past year that IAH couldn't stay.
Houston has. and never will, be a sustainable route out of Hartford, CT.
BDL has widebody capable gates, which ones I am not sure. Indeed, original Terminal A hosted DC-10s and 767s back in the day, and DL brings the occasional 767 to new terminal A. The issue with the A330 is the wingspan, and Aer Lingus' gate (A7) would block another one if the jet is parked there. Ga...Jump to post

I could also see Seattle being added....Alaska Airlines. One thing I have noticed with the Air Canada Expr...Jump to post
Very surprised UA is returning to ELM, considering they cut this at the same time they cut BGM as well. Good for ELM though.Jump to post

Interesting read and definitely an interesting situation. Wouldn't this route fall under EAS technically?
I'd love to see NK expand BDL. It seems that every route they add from there does well (LF-wise, atleast). The MYR flight went from 4-weekly to daily after less than a month (don't quote me on the exact timeframe) and from what I heard from my BDL passengers, they're thrilled to have Spirit in town...Jump to post

I've noticed Delta has already starting parking/retiring MD88's and MD90's. I've noticed that at least 3 or 4 MD88's, and definitely 3 MD90's have been parked. Any reason for parking 3 MD90's?
