Yeah GAP advantage it has a lower operating expense then PAL won't be surprised to see them take over some of PAL mainline domestic routes and possibly international leisure routes like DPS. Honestly there will still be a lot of mainline flying to and from Cebu as aircraft would need to be position...

PAL just announced on their Facebook page, that they are planning regular non-stop service from Manila to Tel Aviv in October, as soon as Israel opens up their borders. Initial plans are twice a week flights, opb A350s, no proposed start date and schedule yet.

I'm in the seatback IFE camp. Although I do appreciate streaming IFE if offered, used it a lot when I flew aboard SilkAir's A320s which only had overhead drop-downs. However, I don't like streaming IFE since some airlines require me to download an app just to play videos (which is a hassle IMO).

Some vaccine flights today, PAL brought the first batches of Sinovac vaccines to LGP and CGY aboard PALex A320 (RP-C8606).

First AstraZeneca doses arrived in the country a few minutes ago from AMS and BKK aboard a KLM 787 (PH-BHF) operating KL803.

Old Tagbilaran Airport (TAG) - just planespotted outside the fence. Passed through Cebu on the way there.

I would rule out the -200 since they're RR-powered. The -300s on the other hand... they may have a chance, but the MTOW may be a factor. DL's newer builds are 242t models.

Also there were modifications that had to be made to the structure of the A320 wing to accommodate winglets, and it can only be applied after a certain LN (1200 IIRC).

Air India's BOM-SFO goes over the Pacific on the outbound leg, then over the Atlantic on the return leg. PR's MNL-Toronto/New York flights sometimes take a polar routing as well....
