First off, there’s no “tray”.

The only thing that really matters is how customers will react to the new concept.
If results are in line with what has been shown on Pdx-Nrt and test flights, it will significantly drive net promoter scores.

Delta continues it climb.

Don’t know about SIN, but could DTW-NGO go to daily and the NGO-MNL tag be brought back? I don’t know how this might negatively affect aircraft utilization as the DTW-NGO flight now turns around and heads back to the States.

The KE/DL JV does not cover interior Chinese cities due to a lack of a JV between the US and China. However ICN does offer easy connections to a large number of destinations in China.

As far as facilities go, ICN, SIN, and HKG are the best airports in Asia

Not bad, I guess.

I am definitely opinionated. However, that being said, I believe that out of the US4, Delta's uniform still leads. Especially with regards to a uniform look amongst ground and in-flight.Other than the male overcoat, I really don't see anything 'Brooks Brothers' in the collection.

Delta transpacific is in the midst of a massive realignment. I expect that ultimately all NRT operations will be drawn down once enough Haneda slots are secured to add service to Detroit and Atlanta. Every airline has its good and bad days.

That being said, Delta handled a wide body diversion to Shemya, a practically deserted air base in the Aleutian Islands, with less disruption than this flight to Lax.

Keep in mind, DL 'owns' Msp, unlike AA at Ord. Also, DL will have feed at both ends and their network and frequent flyer base is much larger than standalone NW ever was.

As an anet love seat CEO, in my opinion, the biggest mistake was when AS turned their back on DL.
Rushing into AA's arms didn't work out and then paying 2.6 billion for Virgin.

Delta did not buy the 717's from Southwest.
They are leased from Boeing (and at very favorable rates). They can phase them out as leases expire if they choose to do so.

Brand concistency is a priority at Delta. They could have easily opted out of the 744 nose to tail refresh under the logic that they would be gone in a few years ( ala UA or AA with their 763). After the 777 mods, next in line for suites are the 764 and 330's.
Not 100 % sure, but I believe the 763 will be retrofitted as well. I assume it will have the same layout as the 764.

Yes they had the their moments in the sun. I remember 'Regal Imperial' First Class with Petrosian caviar and Grande Dame champagne. But at the time the 'most luxurious' titles were held by the likes of a Varig, Singapore, and Swissair.

Delta has a long history and has weathered good and bad times.
If the economy goes South, then tough times would impact all carriers.
They are actually better positioned than some (i.e.-AA's debt load).

I was with NWA a long time. What I describe applies to pre as well as post 9/11 NWA. In the scenario you lay out, all carriers would respond in kind.

There is no need or justification for most of the ESA's (especially Pit Bulls and the like) we see in aircraft cabins these days.
