You won't put it down once you get it... I love mine, I don't use the 17-40 and actually a buddy has it, so I don't use it... The <acronym title="Island Airlines (USA) and Eagle Air/Arnaflug (Iceland)">IS</acronym> is great and I prefer that over the 17-40, it complements the 70-200 very well, Enjoy...

I think there is a relationship between f stop and shutter speed, keep the shutter speed above lets say 500 and you can use up to F11, but if it drops because of the location of the sun, (example: it is more head on the aircraft) then step down to F8. I just keep it on f8 and it seems to be good for...
