Absolutely gorgeous. I can’t imagine how anyone wouldn’t like this given the scores of airlines that are just a combination of mostly white with the same hues of blue over and over again.

Only 1 XLR is delivered in 2024 and that is 4th quarter. I haven't seen a monthly schedule but I doubt they could get more than 4-5 787-9s in service by summer '24. This...AA will only have a net int'l aircraft increase of 3 (maybe a few more if there are previously delivered 788s still going throu...

Any chance of UA finding their way back to JFK after this? I could see American being open to leasing a few slots. AA is a very distant third domestically in JFK, according to most recent BTS data, March 2022 - February 2023. JFK Jetblue 11.245 38.80% Delta 7.857 27.11% American 3.757 12.96% Endeav...

Considering that AA has shrunk, I doubt they can’t grow ORD back to where they were if they wanted to. Where they were, sure. UA is only down around 100ish flights from ORD’s flight peak around 2000. But with 500 new mainline planes that’s a good 1,500+ daily flights. Where do all the rest go? Jeremy

Jump to postI have been hearing about how amazing TPAC was going to be for all of the US airlines for the past 25 years. Jump to postI agree, PDX was the weakest link to start with. It was mostly sub-daily even with the NRT hub. However, to be fair, DL was the only carrier with at that time with TATL & TPAC offer from PDX (they even had a TPAC scissor hub at PDX) and thought they could retain that proposition. However, what ...
Jump to postI’m assuming additional ATL, SEA, and LAX… There is no demand for additional service to these cities either. Demand to Japan in general from the US is severely depressed. That's for sure. I know of a flight department who at one time had three G550's and a G280 and my pal a Senior Training Captain often said that very thing, never talk about the flight department especially around company people. Those who flew on the jets were very tight lipped regarding that fact....
Jump to postA lot of Delta changes came about that appear to restore frequencies at the cost of a mainline plane. For example, The late departure to SYR was an A320 and was reverted back to a CRJ-900 and the 4th frequency will be re-introduced (probably because of the RJ cuts in LGA freed up RJs). BHM, MDW, an...

They plan to return LAX-AKL? Did I miss something? There hasn’t been an official announcement, but a respected user has said they plan to return this year. Jump to postGiven DL's A321 carry 191 passengers, there's already a lot of lift from them. Know we are focused on the widebodies, but I don't think DL's domestic 767's had a meaningfully different passenger number than the A321. Domestic 763s held 260ish, if I remember correctly, so quite a big difference in c...

AA has flown LAXDEN without interruption going back decades. LAX-DEN is a very important route for LA based travelers. DL is taking it seriously, and has 3 daily mainline planes on it. Jump to postI'm not sure you understood my question. My point is of all of those 13 examples, only one of them has 2 other competitors with massive hubs on both ends (DEN). So do you see no growth opportunity at LAX for either AA or UA? Do you think DL is just going to keep growing at LAX, while AA/UA remain stagnant? Jump to postI guess DL should just close up shop because they don’t have hubs in desirable cities. The response above from SurfandSnow sums up well why Utah isn’t that great for visitors. Jump to postDoubt we see DFW-ZRH. Pretty sure PHL will serve ZRH sufficiently for a while. The most logical TATL add from either CLT or DFW may be DFW-ATH at this point.
