Would anyone happen to know when the regulator will extend Jet's domestic slots allotment to airlines? They are currently until December 31st 2019, and am sure the airlines would like a definite answer (just like me :) ) so that they can set up the rest of their W19 schedules... There were some rum...Jump to post
Speaking of which, 6E11 has taken 6h 51m to fly to IST today, which means we will soon hear stories about pax landing without their bags today too. It doesn’t make sense. Are headwinds really that bad? Or, are they taking a longer route? has Pak forced them to take a less than optimal route when pa...Jump to post
I’ve said this before but at the risk of belabouring the point, I’ll say it again. In the 21st-century, trade trumps rhetoric. Witness the India-China trade and rhetoric relationship - USD 100 billion annually, and growing. Absolutely. The only country in India's "neighbourhood" that has ...Jump to post
Why? Simple. They support Pakistan’s position over India’s as it relates to Kash, and then they ask for like 10 additional daily frequencies . They just don’t know how to play this politically even though the writing is on the wall. Their best chance is to have asked for an additional frequency to ...Jump to post
CCU/DEL remain safe bets for such launches. They can test the waters in that region from these two cities. They can even look towards the more affluent northeast asia, to places like South Korea/Taiwan/Japan on their A321Neo XLR's. There's a lot of IT traffic to Vietnam. Perhaps we could see a rout...Jump to post

Indian media is reporting that Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi and IndiGo co-founder Rahul Bhatia met the Indian aviation minster on Monday to request increase in flying rights. Current bilateral entitlements are 14 weekly frequencies for each side, all of which have been exhausted. TK has been tryi...Jump to post

IndiGo still operates this route - 6E1755. Stopped wef 1 October 2019 as per SSC Hmm .. interesting. Wonder if thats temporary. Also suprising then GoAir would launch this route, and add a new int'l station for such a route. GoAir has made CNN its home. Perhaps they believe they can make this route...Jump to post

Air India is back to its old canard of hoarding flying rights without lunching flights. Many of you may not remember this but until 2011 Air India used to have something called right of first refusal on international flights, wherein if any carrier wishes to start an international flight Air India h...Jump to post
Thanks. But, what about rights to other places such as Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc. Is Air India squatting on allocated rights or using them? For instance, AI was supposed to start Pune to Singapore but has not started it as yet. Dubai & Hong Kong have been well utilised. Doha, Singapor...Jump to post
See the link below and now it seems to make sense (in the Government's political world). It appears that the Government turned a blind eye to the cutting of fuel supplies since this pertains to the Haj related operations. https://www.cnbctv18.com/aviation/unpaid-fuel-bills-haj-pilgrimage-may-hit-af...Jump to post

I’m not sure where dignity ends and pragmatism begins in international relations. For example, I hear that despite everything that happened at the U.N. Security Council a few days ago, President Xi of China is still expected in India this year for “informal” talks. Balanced trade with the promise o...Jump to post

This round of Pak airspace closure seems to be much less impactful than the previous one. It is only from 2AM to about 11.45AM on 6 days a week. Air India says its long haul routes will get longer by just 12 minutes.
Pakistan is just playing to the gallery showing that it is indeed doing something.
DIAL's first priority shall be to finish the new taxiway between Rwy 29/11 and 28/10 that shall go over the main approach road to T2,T3.
