Totally agree with the amenities comment, PJ’s should be served, especially on the SIN/EWR vv route, that’s a long flight - which I did enjoy, but found the catering odd.

Airlines send their best aircraft on their most valuable routes. Reading Australian media reports on the incident it seems the majority of the injured where not wearing seatbelts. Thanks for sharing.

I flew the final EWR-SIN A340-500 flight and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I recently flew the same flight as you, though in J. Flight was almost completely full, great service & food, slept a good 8-10 hours, it’s a great experience!

The US 3 flying the 737 MAX planes have relatively small fleets, I expect the odd cancellation here and there with a bit of re-booking will sort the issue without too much grief?

Quite a small J cabin vs the current High J cabin, would have expected about 80 J and a smaller Y cabin given the 744 High J is 86 seats.

Going to miss the BA 744 upper deck J cabin!

I think the Airbus order was a legacy from Continental. United are Boeing true and true... I guess that explains all those A320s that United had. The A380 is a great plane, huge amount of love for her after 25 flights, but she is not the right fit for many Airlines.

Indeed a shame to see them go, the BZH ones are only just over 20 years old.

Flew them extensively with BA, always full on the domestic runs, are least on the flights I took. Much as I like the A321, it’s no 763 replacement.

I think they cancel the Liverpool rotation due to low loads, the flight into BGO then continues as an AY flight to HEL and that has only seen 2 cancellations.

Wow, I did wonder what they served on the later flights, that’s a bit shocking.

Surely a small salad and a slice of pizza would be ok, it’s not as if the ticket prices are that much cheaper on the later flights!

I don’t mind just a drinks service on an hour or so flight.

Not impressive.

All depends upon where you sit, but from my experience, the 350 is quieter than the 788 if sitting forward of the engines.
