I've been on a SAS A340 with one. Air China ordered them on their 747s and 777s if I recall correctly.

I'd be suprised to find them riviting panels to a structure. From a production standpoint that is a farily envolved process, and can lead to its own issues, like fixing problems from improper riviting. What I would suspect is some sort of adhesive bonding to the structure. FWIW, I really don't think...

It is amazing that people continue to do this. The whole reason the <acronym title="Fargo - Hector International (FAR / KFAR), USA - North Dakota">FAR</acronym> was passed was due to an aircraft fire that started in the lavatory pre-takeoff, and ended up killing several people due to smoke and fire....
