Jump to postPart 1 - http://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1397375 Wow, the match. I mean, we all know that Hirving Lozano scored and Germany lost. What you folks who watched at home don’t know is that firstly Mexicans outnumbered Germans at least 3:1 at the Stadium. Think about this geographic...
Jump to postThere will be an insane amount of flying for me this June, so insane that when the invites started coming I had to spend a considerable amount of time trying to figure out routings and flight options. In my line of work, I get hosted by companies, and rarely plan my own flights. However, thanks to o...
Jump to postthanks for the report! The peter-pan livery is a homage to a Transavia-based semi-charity which offers assistance for handicaped, sick and disabled children/youth so that they are able to enjoy a holiday as well, which they wouldn' t be able to do by themselves. Nice to know, they even had a 1/200 ...
Jump to postNice TR, as always! but for lounges you really can’t beat Swiss at ZRH And don't forget, swiss is offering a real BusinessClass also to leisure destinations like PMI - unlike KLM! Well, to be honest, no European Business Class is 'real' in that sense. Unlike in the US where at least on the DL and A...

Jump to postThanks for the nice report... I never ever heard about this "custom belt" before - are you sure? This is completely nonsense to me... Jump to postAs some of you know, I’m a motoring journalist who also loves aviation. Truth be told I would like to write a lot more trip reports than I do, because I do end up taking some fascinating journeys, but it is what it is. But because I don’t write often enough, I’ve written a lot here so I’ll split thi...

Jump to postGreat review, and sadly another indication that LH 's Business class is far from a superior experience...the seats, the menses....just compare UA's desert cart to LH's tiny box of ice cream ,and 3 slices of fruit as an alternate....they may have a solid product in Y class, but their Business class is ...
Jump to postNice TR! As well and expected... Didn't know that LH is operating their own lounge in Delhi and not partnering with *A partner AI! As the lounge was hadn't good offerings -wouldn't it be possible to use the AI or SQ lounge instead?! Totally disagree with you - the LH A350 BusinessClass is a nightma...
Jump to postSo recently I got invited by BMW India to attend a conference in Germany and drive the upcoming X3 and 6GT at Sintra, outside Lisbon. When the final schedule was given to me, I was both happy and horrified. Happy because I’d get to fly the A350 finally between Delhi and Munich and fly a new airline ...
Jump to postNice TR after a long time. Lovely pics, the check in procedure is more for segregating people with employment visas. 9W seriously need new interiors! Lovely pics, if you are in Dubai pretty often, let us know maybe we could catch up. 9W needing to change their interiors is long, long overdue. Heck ...
Jump to postWell written TR, always good to see DXB. There has been far too much travel this year, and I've not managed to write all the TR's that I would like to, but I hope you enjoyed this one. Not just TRs but ur overall particiaption has been low... I wish I got all the time, the travel has meant that I'v...
Jump to postI’ll make this a succinct trip report. Recently, I had to travel to Dubai for a weekend visit with Audi India. However, as India-Dubai flights are relatively short, our hosts travel policy meant that we were to fly Economy Class. No big deal on a three-hour flight, but I was a bit surprised that the...
Jump to postVistara is great on DEL-BOM sector. But there is a big lack of consistency on their other routes. My last time with Vistara on DEL-PNQ was underwhelming. Not a big fan of their "box meals" either. PS: I find it amusing that street food is being presented as "gourmet". Jet does i...

AI 804 BLR-DEL AI 506 DEL-BLR (my flight) AI 503 BLR-DEL AI 504 DEL-BLR On other days, the aircraft sometimes do three return trips between the cities with at least two aircraft used during rotations. Standard Delhi - Mumbai run. I have given up counting the times I’ve taken this flight since I joined the workforce in 2001; but was surprised my hosts decided to fly me Vistara Premium Economy. Vistara, a joint venture between the Tata Group and SQ is the only airline to have Premium Economy on the...
Jump to postMany thanks for these aeromoe, really appreciate the time and effort you've made to putting up these classic trip reports!
Jump to postGreat report, I flew ET years ago when they still had the ex-KLM 767's in their fleet. If I travel to Africa it might make sense over say an EK or EY but ET flies the 737 from DEL on a 7hr flight and that IMO is too long in a narrow body.
Jump to postThanks for these great reports! Oldies but goldies!
Jump to postInteresting report! Looks like I can confirm AI has stopped serving hot meal on all domestic flights? I was surprised that on my recent flight to Mumbai the main dish was just a piece of sandwich - where as before, they always served hot meals on this sector! Even the Jet meal looks unappetizing......
Jump to postThe simple fact is that if you want to fly and A320neo for sure you have to come to India. IndiGo is the largest neo operator by far, with over twenty planes in service. Air India has six neo’s, Go Air has five and Vistara recently got their first. While IndiGo and Go Air use the -271N variant featu...
Jump to postQuote: "Photography and videography on the airside, even from inside the aircraft is banned at Goa Airport" Guess I won't ever be visiting Goa... Jump to postSorry for a lack of trip-reports of late, there has been much travel including flying to Argentina and Australia but those are more epic reports that need time. So I’m starting with my last flights, which were rather unique on IndiGo because they were operated by CFM-engined IndiGo A320’s. IndiGo ha...
Jump to postI travelled QF domestic Economy back in February and the flights - one on a 332 and one on a 717 (score!) offered iPad Mini's to all passengers with the full QF catalogue - which was an excellent choice IMO. Agree with you Australian airlines, or Qantas at least have excellent service standards.
Jump to postWell, AI's IFE has been flaky on the few A320/321's that still have it but to go flaky on a ULH flight is unacceptable in my opinion. I'm sure AI has good fares, and I've flown them recently to MXP and SIN on 787's - but this TR really has me wondering whether they're worth it on the North American ...
Jump to postTo give AI credit, I think it has actually improved quite a lot in the last 2-3 years. They started with a really Low base marks, and while they are still not as good as major carriers like SQ and QR, I have to commend them as 'most improved airline' in my books. Ground staff while check-in now smi...
Jump to postIt is interesting to see how so many people on Airliners.net view demand to/from India/Pakistan/Middle East as a bottomless pit of gold when in reality demand to and from those regions to and from United States is finite. Not sure that's really accurate - most discussions here also acknowledge that...
Jump to postI also agree about DEL. In the summer they look like barren deserts while landing from the opposite side. No scenery even at night; but opposite take-off's are nice particularly 9 - into Delhi, straight ahead before the right turn - on a clear day you can see Rajpath and Rashtrapati Bhawan. Also I ...
Jump to postGreat Report. Agree with previous comments that said steward must have been angry due to photography during safety briefing. Other than PNQ where they get antsy (obviously) even if people take selfies on the tarmac, faced few issues of late. VT-SCF was actually the first of the 'new' owned CFM Airbu...

Jump to postMan - not just domestic J/F in India but just in general. Crazy how that market has changed. Haven't been to India in a few years but I remember back in the day even in domestic Y on BOM-NAG, 9W would serve a very high quality full meal in Y. Those were the days! Next time see if you can snag an AA...
Jump to postGreat report Cricket, I have never been happy with BA's offering in J, believing as I do they try to put too many seats in the plane! I also hate (with a passion) the idea that you pay upwards of £2,500 for a seat then you are asked for MORE money to choose your seat when booking!! I do think the l...
Jump to postI must say that the entrees in F/C on AA have really improved. Try the shrimp with cheese grits. It's to die for. Improved? Really? Yes, the latest concoctions are better than what LCC management switched to in late 2014, however IMO (and most AA FFs), current AA meals are still inferior to what pr...

Nice report, interesting how they have A321 painted on the ground but the aircraft is no where near it. Indeed it is, I hadn't even noticed I caught that - given the A321 is a long plane I wasn't surprised the pilots were worried if they went into the ramp since the gates were clearly only for narr...

Doing the D's - that was this trip in a nutshell (and from Delhi to boot) I had a great couple of days in Dallas, meeting various family members I hadn’t seen in years. And well, I did the touristy thing by going to the rather nice ‘Sixth Floor Museum’ where the events leading up to and following th...
Jump to postExcellent report - great detail! Seems like you had a pleasant trip with British Airways. Did you consider a Skyteam Itinerary at all? Jump to postI’ll be writing this report flight by flight and try and do it as close to the event as possible. Otherwise they tend to get stalled like most of my other flight reports.
