We shouldn't bother trying to develop new technology since the experts here on A.net say it's not possible.Jump to post
Google Earth sometimes edits out aircraft, cars, ships, and other objects that aren't always in the same location. Ruins the point of satellite imagery if some of the imagery is edited out in my opinion. Another airport with no aircraft is Everett Paine Field in Washington, USA. Never thought that t...Jump to post

Yet if you scroll over to JFK Airport on the same link you will see many aircraft at the gates. and then over to LGA ... just a few. With just under 20 United flights at EWR these days the map/photo seems accurate. It's not accurate. The imagery was taken before they started construction of Termina...Jump to post
Google removes aircraft from their imagery. Not sure why because that seems to ruin the point of realistic imagery but oh well.Jump to post
I think UA would have ordered them if not for the 77Ws which could be delivered sooner. I could definitely see them with the 777-8 or 9 later on.Jump to post
Can't we acknowledge that we're making progress instead of calling it useless like every other time an electric aircraft thread comes up?Jump to post
I like how the 777x seems to have some 787 design elements, especially the tail.Jump to post
Awesome takeoff and sound!Jump to post
Is takeoff still scheduled for 10am or are they planning to do it earlier?Jump to post

The engine start sound could have been from the 767.Jump to post
Might be a silly question, but why is the aircraft sitting at the end of the runway instead of somewhere else? Doesn't that mean other aircraft can't use that runway? Or is it not actually on the runway like the stream says?
Edit: Nevermind, I see it's not on the runway.
Again, the crew mishandles a pretty obvious autothrottle failure and it is Boeing’s fault. The RA displayed incorrectly, the A/T showed “RETARD” indicating it thought it was within landing parameters, all missed by three “experienced” crew. The NYT isn’t an engineering document. I feel like the airliners.net community is more competent than any of the governmental agencies that investigate aviation accidents. I hope this is sarcasm. Have you been reading the posts in this thread? Half sarcasm, half truth. We figured out it was a SAM before the major news outlets. News outl...Jump to post
If a missile hits a plane with a full tank, don't you think that the plane would explode immediately? Or become a fireball? In that video no such thing is visible. Also, why should anyone record a video of the dark black sky without any purpose? In my opinion, it's definitely fake. No because those...Jump to post
I'm not sure why someone would have an opossum as a pet, but if he called ahead and JetBlue said it was okay, it's the airline's fault for confirming the pet could be brought on the plane, and allowing it on the aircraft for the first leg. People are bringing up emotional support stuff, but I don't ...Jump to post
LGA-ORD is a route I only follow passingly, but I was recently surprised to see how much regional equipment UA has on the route. Maybe UA left some more room for DL? I think the RJs on LGA-ORD are mostly confined to weekends, but could be wrong. Unfortunately, you are. There are 6 UA-branded E75 fl...Jump to post

Can I just watch the video please? Why does clicking the play button bring me to "Fox News Flash top headlines for Nov. 27"? I can't tell if the fuel truck clip is in there somewhere because the thing won't load. Here's a direct link to the Instagram video: https://www.instagram.com/p/B5T...Jump to post

Not surprised they'd stick with the A320 family which they already have pilots, training, and equipment for. Not sure why everyone on this site seem to think all airlines require an A220.Jump to post
As Swiss operates the biggest A220 fleet, do you think this could cause the whole type to be grounded? Has the CSeries/A220 crashed and killed anybody? Not that I'm aware of. So, why would you want to ground the fleet? There are surely operational problems that need to be solved; but, to ground a f...Jump to post

I HATE the stupid things - cabin crew darken them when THEY want, even in first .... if I pay stupid money to travel up front and even more to guarantee my seat, I at least want to able to look out of the window when I want to, not only when it suits the crew  That sound very much like a privi...Jump to post

10/8 215pm Interesting photo opportunity amongst all the AA tails. Obviously the outsourced regional du jour shifted planes over from the UA operation to the AA operation rather quickly. At least finding MH370 could be useful to living people, from a personal and legal standpoint.
