Flying during COVID - Delta 737-900ER/800 SEA-ATL-BWI

Greetings all, This report covers my flights to Delaware for my annual visit there to see my family. Back in September 2019, I had originally planned to visit in April of this year, and had tickets booked on Southwest and American, but I was regrettably forced to cancel it in late March due to the C...

Re: In your opinion, what are the most important planes for Delta?

As far as most important today, just look at the fleet: 1. CRJ's (200/700/900) 23.9% 2. A319/320/321 17.1% 3. B737's 17.0% 4. ERJ's (170/175) 10.3% 5. 757's 9.9% The A350 may be the newest and most cool but with only 13 of them in a fleet of almost 1,300 planes flying Delta colors, it's not that im...

Recently, in an interview on PlanePerspectives with Vasu Raja, he mentioned that he wished that AA could have saved STL as a hub, calling it the "Charlotte of the Midwest" for the airline. But the only way to do that was to NOT shrink. Grow at DFW. Don’t shut down St. Louis...Let me tell y...

Why did pmDL retire their DC-9s so early?

Hello all, As we all know, Northwest and later Delta were notorious for keeping around 30-40 year old DC-9's in the 2000's and early 2010's, due to them being completely paid off and the cost of fuel being relatively cheap. Additionally, TWA and US Airways were no slouches when it came to utilizing ...
