Hello! Does anyone of you know, if the former LTU-TriStar D-AERP (c/n 1052) is still sitting on the ramp at Oostende? After more than five years of storage in Tucson it was bought/re-registered by Ducor World and ferried to Oostende in May 2001. First the registration had been changed and thereafter...

According to the "Bundesanstalt für Unfalluntersuchung" (BFU) both TCAS-devices in the involved aircrafts worked properly and ordered the B757 to descend and the TU154 to climb. Unfortunately the controller gave the TU154 the order to descent..., the Bashkirian pilot reacted accordingly! See the fol...

For example an ATC transmission reading like this:

Company is therefore not really an airline....!

Hi! Former D-AERP left TUS app. 4 weeks ago and can now be seen in nearly full LTU colours in Oostende (OST)/Belgium. According to some romours it will be converted into a freighter. It has a Bulgarian registration now (LZ-TPC). It was a nice experience to see one of these a/c again. Regards, Frank

Does anyone know, if the aircraft is still in OST and if it is visible from outside the airport?
Due to the fact, that I´m living near LTUs´ homebase it would be great for me to see one of the 1011´s, which flew over my house day for day until 1995!
