the regs of the two planes involved in the incident are D-ALPE and SX-DFD.

Hi there, N808MC is still sitting at the freight ramp im DUS where it has been parked weeks ago. At least one engine has been changed recently. But I don´t know if this has been done for a very last f...

Hi! Thanks a lot for the answers. Sounds fantastic! So I´ll give the activity zone "a try" and hope there will be some space for my small (German ) VW Polo between all the Belgian and Dutch cars. Really curious: Regular parking fees are ge...

Hello! I am going to fly from Brussels-South (CRL) to Glasgow-Prestwick (PIK) with Ryanair tomorrow afternoon until Sunday evening. Does anyone know if there are any free parking facilities in the nearer vicinity of the airport and how to get there (approaching from Aachen/Liege)? Thank you for your...
Jump to postThank you for the latest news on this aircraft.
But for what reason is this new reg? Isn´t this unusual for a plane which is going to be broken up?
Strange, really strange...!

Hello! Does anyone of you know, if the former LTU-TriStar D-AERP (c/n 1052) is still sitting on the ramp at Oostende? After more than five years of storage in Tucson it was bought/re-registered by Ducor World and ferried to Oostende in May 2001. First the registration had been changed and thereafter...
Jump to postAccording to the "Bundesanstalt für Unfalluntersuchung" (BFU) both TCAS-devices in the involved aircrafts worked properly and ordered the B757 to descend and the TU154 to climb. Unfortunately the controller gave the TU154 the order to descent..., the Bashkirian pilot reacted accordingly! See the fol...

Jump to postHi Ts-ior!
I am working for the tour operator Thomas Cook (Germany) and never heard about such plans...!
Is this TV channel already on air? No hints about in (at least German) TV magazines, too...!

As I am working for Thomas Cook/Germany (in the tour operator branch, not for the airline) I would like to hear your comments on the following question: Do you think, it is a good idea to change a well known brand name into another one? I guess most (at least) german clients will be a little bit con...
Jump to postI wish you a soon weather improvement for your (most likely) interesting tour to FKB. Here in Düsseldorf the sun is shining from a nearly cloudless sky.
Ndebele,
yes, D-ABYM should be still at FKB for at least 4 or 5 weeks.
Please see

for the newest informations and photos.

Hello 9V-SPF, Ndebele and D-AQUI!
Thanks a lot for the helpful informations you provided to me!
I think it is time again for a visit both to Speyer and to FRA....!

Hi Daniel!
Is there a viewing platform platform at RWY 18? I´ve never heard about it before!
Could you please give me any driving directions how to get there...?
Thanx,
Frank
Does anybody know if the Lufthansa 742 (D-ABYM), which has been donated to the "Technikmuseum Speyer" already arrived in Karlsruhe/Baden?
Any pictures of the landing?
Regards,
Frank
Any photos yet?
I hope the initiative will be successfull....!
Frank
For example an ATC transmission reading like this:
"KLM XXX line up runway XX behind landing company 747!" means, that the landing traffic also is a KLM aircraft!
Company is therefore not really an airline....!

Frank
Hi Dasa!
I´m living in the final approach sector of Düsseldorfs´ (DUS/Germany) RWY 23 R about 5 nm from the runway threshold...!

Hi! Former D-AERP left TUS app. 4 weeks ago and can now be seen in nearly full LTU colours in Oostende (OST)/Belgium. According to some romours it will be converted into a freighter. It has a Bulgarian registration now (LZ-TPC). It was a nice experience to see one of these a/c again. Regards, Frank
Jump to postDoes anyone know, if the aircraft is still in OST and if it is visible from outside the airport?
Due to the fact, that I´m living near LTUs´ homebase it would be great for me to see one of the 1011´s, which flew over my house day for day until 1995!
Regards,
Frank
Just an update: The former LTU-A333 is now registered as C-FRAV (Owner: Skyservice Airlines Inc.) and still "waiting" on the DUS apron!
The whole thing is getting a little bit curious....?!
Regards,
Frank
Hi Lamyl! Yes, I can confirm Englandairs´reply! The A333 was parking in front of the LTU hangar here in DUS in full Khalifa-Colours but still with the German reg D-AERG at the end of the previous week. I don´t know if it is still there, but there was no action taking place around the aircraft. Regar...

The report about the AMS fire was on WDR 2 about half an hour ago and they are trying to broadcast any updates as soon as they get some...!
According to german broadcast reports, Schiphol arrival hall and train station have been closed due to minimum 1 explosion in an restaurant/toilet area.
Fire is under control but heavy smoke in the building.
No further reports about any injuries (hopefully there aren´t any!)...!

Hello! During a trip to PMI I saw a former Spantax CV-990 Coronado (painted in latest company colors, registration ???, more or less in a good condition) parked on a remote apron position.
