Re: Irish 9/18: Autumnal aviation

I find YHZ the interesting one, as there were plans for EI-EDP and EI-EDS to be fitted with extended range fuel tanks to take advantage of their ETOPS rating back in about 2015 for a 3x weekly service to YHZ. Apparently the unions weren't going to stand for it and it never took off, by the time EI w...

Oh I'd say that it'll be with the spring schedule in mind as the affected SEN routes don't appear to end until January 2019 which should leave the E195's some time to receive some TLC (which they're sorely in need of) and paint in time for late March/early April 2019. The only airline I can really see having an interest in getting the 736's would be Blue Air of Romania, purely on the basis that they're flying a load of 735's at this point in time. I imagine to reach EZE (one of the proposed routes, I believe) they would have to buy up some A332's, if they wish to bring down the cost of this exercise to have less to offset in case it all goes wrong, I guess they could get the A330-203's that both KLM and LATAM are retiring at around 10-12 year...
