Can’t believe UA is taking F9s amazing gates. Walking over that bridge and seeing all the animal tails has always been a signature sight at DEN. Gonna be a lot of plain white UA planes that aren’t particularly attractive to the eye.

Was watching some flight activity on Flightradar24 and noticed a 757 from Denver to Memphis taking an interesting route to Memphis. No other flights headed to that part of country are following such a plan.

Thoughts?

I didn’t relialize they were adding a new return to terminal loop. I assume the old one is being removed? Wonder what the purpose was for moving it!

I believe F9 is one of if not the most cash profitable airlines of all the US Airlines. I am no expert but I think F9 will survive this and might actually recoup pax faster than other airlines will.

Would love to see F9 add ANC, FAI and MROC back. Maybe YVR or BIL too. MLB would also be a great add. Expecting Hawaiian destinations in 2024 with the XLR too. They added BIL back earlier this year. It was announced at the same time as BTV, BOS, GRB, and BFM, and has been running 3x week on an A320...

It's a lot more complicated than just gcmap ranges. Getting a nat track with .80 assigned for example burns more fuel. International derived alternates, weather, loads, runway analysis. All that stuff pilots are paid for, but A.net fanboy's know nothing about. I am not pretending that it isn't more...

Can’t wait to see F9 take on Hawaii from Denver. With UA’s fares being rather pricey, and SW’s routing requiring a west coast connection...they could make it work.

I see triples in Denver all the time. Amazing to see and hear (atc) the orchestration that goes into it. Especially in the summer when a storm has passed and they are overwhelmed with planes coming out of the holding pattern.

They'd be going head to head with G4 on those two routes. F9 may have a leg up though if the fares are competitive and the flights are to MCO versus SFB. F9 could probably make direct to LAS work from ISP. However, like Southwest’s decision, Denver would probably make more since due to the F9 night bank to the west and the red-eye/ returns to DEN.
