It's a lot more complicated than just gcmap ranges. Getting a nat track with .80 assigned for example burns more fuel. International derived alternates, weather, loads, runway analysis. All that stuff pilots are paid for, but A.net fanboy's know nothing about. I am not pretending that it isn't more...

Can’t wait to see F9 take on Hawaii from Denver. With UA’s fares being rather pricey, and SW’s routing requiring a west coast connection...they could make it work.

I see triples in Denver all the time. Amazing to see and hear (atc) the orchestration that goes into it. Especially in the summer when a storm has passed and they are overwhelmed with planes coming out of the holding pattern.

They'd be going head to head with G4 on those two routes. F9 may have a leg up though if the fares are competitive and the flights are to MCO versus SFB. They’d be crazy not to in my opinion. I’m sure they have and continue to look into it. Just don’t know if it’s worth it if it’s impossible to get it delivered in a reasonable time.

Considering delta pulls it off with SLC, I can’t imagine SFO would have been a big issue for UA.

The demand was there. I think UA had poor management at the time and missed out on a big opportunity.

It happened in the last livery too! Some were really bad. You deffinitly get that wear and tear with decals.

It’s always worried me that someday they’d move away from the animal tails because of this. I hope not. They have the best livery in the world!

Honestly I'd like to see them start DEN-BIL. Given how they've been re-opening old stations, I think it's a possibility.
