How is a 25yr+ A343 any more "modern" than a 30yr+ 763ER?

Maybe it's the "1988 factor" ;)

Re: Air Dolomiti to double fleet size

Don't they mean that instead of flying wetlease for LH they will manage their flights between Italy and Germany? That's how I read it. Air Dolomiti would have to fly a lot of frequencies to MXP and FCO if they had to replace all LH flights.

Re: Lufthansa Polling On Which City To Send A380 To (ORD, SEA, TPA, DFW)

I'd expect FRA-YVR to have good premium demand and be capable to support F. They used A346s, which all have F, on the MUC flight in the last few years (summer only flight though), but changed it to an A350 this august. Next year it will also be an A350. So if people really wanted to fly F to YVR on...

Surprised they don't do BA does and fly the A380 to YVR seasonally. European flights to YVR are FULL in the summer. Or maybe they want something year round? There is a summer seasonal flight to YVR from MUC. This year served by a mix of A346 and A359. I think YVR could at least handle a 748. LHs 74...

MUC-BLR x13

all operated by A359

In addition to that new EW routes:

MUC-LAS 2/7
MUC-MCO 3/7

Re: LH Transfers EW long haul from DUS to FRA

Is MIA-DUS also gone? How stupid to send everyone via FRA when DUS can also handle its own.... No. Brussels Airlines will continue to operate MIADUS (and EWRDUS). I'm a little confused so pardon my ignorance on this subject but, are the EWR-DUS flights marketed as LH flights but actually operated b...

Re: LH Transfers EW long haul from DUS to FRA

It seems they will use the Sunexpress Deutschland operated A332s for the expansion in FRA. The aircraft operated by SN will remain in DUS (2 A333, 2 A343, will be 5 A333s in the future). It's crazy to me that the LH PHL-FRA and QR PHL-DOH run daily even though there is no feed from PHL.

AA has discontinued PHL-Germany in favor of CLT-Germany. LH has switched to a daily 747 on the PHL-FRA route to compensate.

But only in summer, they currently use a A333 on FRA-PHL.

Is there some sort of important difference between the ealry AIS* and the later ones or even AID* A321s?

Re: First Lufthansa A380 in New Livery Rolled Out

Is this the new blue? As on the 744? Or have they stopped the adjustment to a lighter blue (and bigger crane)? It should be the new blue on every repainted aircraft after the 744 first got the tweaked livery. The A350s and A320neo have the old blue since their tails were painted before LH noticed t...
