What do you mean? As I understand muslim is not an ethnicity!
If that's the case, then why pay for a FAKE non-stop flight? Might as well buy a one-stop on an European carrier from YYZ or EWR to DEL and pay MUCH LESS. This "stop" has been happening only for the last 2 weeks or so and hopefully will get ironed out soon as Pak opens their airspace comp...Jump to post
Absolutely stunning images – I especially loved your pictures of Junagarh Fort in Bikaner! Thank you for posting such a beautiful trip report!Jump to post
Northwest Airlines, originally based in Detroit, gets its name from the Northwest Territory which consisted of modern-day Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and parts of Minnesota and was to the northwest of the original borders of the United States. (This is indeed why the term "Paci...Jump to post

I guess we won’t see the Air Zimbabwe 767 at SWF any more. Someone in the government likes to go shopping at Woodbury Commons apparently. If I'm not mistaken, many governments choose to park their aircraft at SWF when visiting the United Nations in NYC — I mean, surely no one would travel that dist...Jump to post
FWIW, and I know some are different, but I will always be willing to pay more to fly from the MAT. It's just a vastly-more-civilized experience. Now, for the last six months, unless one is flying at a seriously-shoulder time of day, fuggetabowdit you'd be nutz not to fly to and from the MAT. When e...Jump to post
Hmm...a bunch of posts seem to have just disappeared into the moderator aether, as well as the new thread from this morning dedicated to Delta's comments about still being committed to the order. I'm pretty sure they were not uncivil posts. I figured that thread would get merged with this one, not ...Jump to post
A wonderful trip report with some really nice pictures, as always
I was stuck in ORD that weekend myself — I was flying home to NYC on DL until my flight to JFK was cancelled (literally the only DL flight cancelled on 12/18 ) and couldn't get home until Sunday morning.
maybe some visual ideas of the concept?
Irma will have a significant impact on Cuba/DR/Bahamas, and probably EYW and South Florida as well. Depending on the track of the storm it could be pretty bad.... CNN just mentioned it could hit land as a cat 5. It definitely looks like we will be impacted by a major hurricane that is a Category 3,...Jump to post
This is going to be a REALLY bad storm because it's forecast to move so slowly - almost unprecedented for a major storm in the US at least in the last 50 years. Expect lots of delays and cancellations. Not just Houston's airports, but Corpus Christi, Harlingen, McAllen and maybe some others I'd exp...Jump to post
Harvey has been strengthening quickly since early this morning, and looks likely to reach hurricane intensity within the next 12 hours or so. The next advisory by the National Hurricane Center (issued at 10:00 am CDT) will likely bring the landfall intensity forecast up by quite a bit. The atmospher...Jump to post

Another part of the snarky-ness that was expressed in comments to this article on the Star Advertiser's site was the fact that there have been many events with Hawaiian flights needing to turn around, engines shut down and overall mechanical issues. Then that is all associated with them being "...Jump to post
Before we get to a global player, let us get a profitable, well-run national carrier for India first.Jump to post

Punjab is a region split between India and Pakistan. In India, there are roughly 30 million Punjabis primarily in the states of Haryana and Punjab. As far as I am aware, the main airport in this region is in the city of Amritsar (home to the Golden Temple — the holiest site in Sikhism) as well as Ch...Jump to post
When my family travels back to India, generally we travel with a lot of luggage (which seems common among many Indian-Americans I've known); the generous baggage allowance given by Air India and the ME3 is a very important factor when my parents would choose flights. If anyone wants to know the 2016 market demand between India and Washington DC, you can find it here http://airline-news.blogspot.com/2017/03/air-india-announces-washington-dc-delhi.html Quite impressive numbers for HYD-IAD especially which I didn't think would have so much demand in particular ! This was a very nice, detailed trip report. Thank you for sharing it with us! :) I still can't believe that AI still has aircraft still in the old IC livery; it's been almost 10 years since the merger. There are a lot of Punjabis in the New York area, hence the demand for a nonstop flight. Same reason you see a lot of Asian flight from West coast of USA. Not just Punjabis, but ethnic groups from all over the Subcontinent (Telugus, Tamils, etc.) live in the New York City metropolitan area. With a ...Jump to post

I've always loved Volotea's paint scheme, and the interior looks nice as well.
