WN is much stronger than B6 on West Coast; B6 is based mostly in the east. They have two very different business models. Contrary to the snide WN comment, WN compared to the legacy carriers has no bag fees, no FF blackout dates, better Y legroom, better crew service/attitudes (reliably), free snack...Jump to post
I have read on a.net multiple times that a passenger version of the 767-300ER can be built upon request.. is it valid?Jump to post
Are these airlines comparable at all? And if someone asks me which one is better / which one to fly, what would you guys tell them? Personally, I've had great experiences with WN and on the west coast, WN is a much easier airline to fly than B6. And free bags. Other than that I don't know how to com...Jump to post

Omni Air International constantly cycles some of its 767-200s through LAS and I see them very often. I want to fly on one but dunno exactly how to do it seeing as they are a charter airline and only fly to HNL from LAS, it seems? Someone told me that they found bookable omni flights but I haven't be...Jump to post
If by "nice place" you mean 120F/49C+ temperature at ground level, due to heat radiating back off the apron's concrete..... sure. It's unseasonably cool in Vegas right now, only 85F. So right now it quite nice! Say what ???? It's 107 at my house and the whole valley is under an excessive ...Jump to post
Slightly unrelated... but as of 6/10/2019 on 7:10 PM, two of the three BA retro liveries are at LAS! Pedant on Two of the four BA retro liveries, two of the three retro 747s. Pedant off (Of the four, the BEA is, IMHO, the best looking one, followed by Landor.) Oh oops... I mostly say three because ...Jump to post
Because you live in LA. I have never met anyone who hates or refuses to fly WN unless they live in LA, and I have met tons of people there say that. It's been a long time since I've heard that and am actually surprised you would choose NK over WN. Do yourself a favor cher, and Google the term "...Jump to post

It seems G-CIVB decided to visit its sister ship to give it best wishes as she's repaired? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/450590722702311425/587847899468267550/unknown.png https://cdn.discord...Jump to post
I visit McCarran a lot and don't recall anything being in that area nowadays. Very curious!
Edit: Figured out the questions. Driving past this area I don't recall noticing anything at all.
Given that WN is unlikely to go basic economy anytime soon, what does it do about NK's buildup at LAS or these other cities? Press the advantages: no change fees, bigger network, better seat pitch, two bags free, no carry-on fee. Spirit is always going to get the guy looking for the very lowest pri...Jump to post
Tech issue as reported by BA Source: http://thebasource.com/british-airways-b747-400-g-bnly-las-vegas-technical-issue-2/ Persumely waiting on cargo apron for spare to be shipped in. Michael Apparently she has been sitting there since the 4th. How severe does this issue seem to be if that's the case?Jump to post
I don't believe in anything supernatural, however most of the time these beliefs are pretty harmless, unlike religions/cults. If you start living your life according to these beliefs, that's another story. Like believing you're cursed because your life sucks, when in fact your life sucks because yo...Jump to post
My friends seem to all base their beliefs on it based on the fact that there has been no one that disproved any of it - it being ghosts, god.. not believing in coincidences.. etc. Stuff like that. Karma is a good example too. I like to say that I don't care for beliefs like this since there are 7 bi...Jump to post
When was the last desert livery 737 repainted into canyon livery? What type of 737 was this plane? It was a -300 in 2009. I believe it was N347SW They should have just kept it in the desert livery until retirement in 2013.When did Southwest begin retiring the 737-200s? lol They repainted a handful ...Jump to post
While I am on the fence with this whole pro life vs pro choice shebabble, I don't think the viability of the fetus is a good argument for pro choice. Technically a lot of things are not viable. People in comas are not viable, brain dead people are not viable, heck, if you want to push it, you sleep...Jump to post

Anyone else just not buying this ULR stuff? Who would want to sit on an aircraft for THAT long? I mean, I get aviation enthusiasts, but it seems like a bit much..Jump to post
I have to agree with many of the posters here regarding Wendover, Mustard, and Real Engineering. The only downside is that they don't post very often. I'm also a huge fan of the pilot channels like Mentour Pilot, Captain Joe, or dutchpilotgirl. Not really "aviation news" per se, but I'm a...Jump to post
The real issue is that it was delayed so long. In the Americas, the A220 needed that B6 order badly, and I suspect that the BCS1 could still be ordered by B6 for current E190 routes, in addition to the BCS3. As for UA, consider that: Their original 55 A319s are 17-21 years old, The pmCO 737-700 fle...Jump to post
To the original point of this post, yea, find a group. I had a period of time in my early/mid 20s where I had trouble making new friends and spent too much time online doing stuff like posting on forums or playing games. Then I got a bike and started riding a lot, then I started racing, and I've ma...Jump to post
I'm honestly surprised that DJ's Aviation is as popular as it is. I find his content to be boring and redundant. As other people have said, he just takes comments, rumors, and aviation news and rehashes it into his own words. DJ seems like a nice enough guy, I'm just not a fan of his content. He ha...Jump to post
DJ's Aviation is simply a collection of comments from airliners.net or wikipedia pages put into script form. I would recommend Wendover also. That is what I've heard based on people. I've also heard him state that a.net is just toxic and old people insulting everyone Anyway, on the other hand, othe...Jump to post

I get my daily dose of Fake News from this site.
It got 1050 orders and died. And it's completely-fair to compare numerical orders for two aircraft launched at two different times because there are NO cycles in the airline business and NO trends in management/customer thinking. But it was over engineered. I flew it. I loved it. Hate riding...Jump to post

But as for the news reporting channels, how accurate / credible are they? I recall the aforementioned channel talking about how apparent...Jump to post
