Mahan Air, HiFly, Air Mauritius, Aerolineas Argentinas, Air Belgium are a few more which come to mind. Air France is retiring it this year.

Anyone know if the Colombo, Sri Lanka - Colombus, Ohio freighter service by Etihad is still active?

Recently saw this citation in the VCBI wiki: https://www.aircargonews.net/news/airlines/freighter/single-view/news/fashionable-rickenbacker-picks-up-etihad-cargo-flights-for-trinity-logistics.html Just curious on the duration of the flight? This seems to qualify for the top 10 or top 5 longest sched...

I miss ROC.. Attended the U of R till last year and I always loved landing there as it gave a good view of my alma mater. I also miss the occasional FedEx 76F landing there. Created such a roar and was a sight to behold from the top of the math department which was like the highest point on the glid...

I'm a Sri Lankan and I'm glad you came to my country! I flew Emirates from CMB-ORD and I encountered terrible service. They have a solid hard product but their flight attendants are absolute rotten when it comes to attitude. Here is a link to my experiences: https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic...

I am so glad that I managed to catch a few shots of her last month over Champaign, IL on it's way to LAX.. Had beautiful lighting when I clicked her as it was in the evening. I look forward to photographing the 789 which I have seen flyover many a time over Colombo on it's way to London from Perth. ...

Re: Do airlines discriminate based on routes?

The OP is mistaken. Airlines don't discriminate against Sri Lankans because they are Sri Lankans. Airlines send more premium configurations to more premium markets such as JFK, LHR, NRT, and HKG, because those markets make more money with those planes. It's all about the bottom line. It's all about...

More than 5 daily flights to CMB. I think it should be comparable. Maybe not F class passengers like NY routes but definitely very high yields of Business and economy

Do airlines discriminate based on routes?

In the past, I have noticed middle eastern carriers send equipment of far less quality to Asian/African destinations than it would to an American or European destination. Is this a valid observation? It's easier to distinguish this as airlines like Emirates and QR have 777's for routes to both Sri L...

Re: Srilanka questions Emirates-Srilankan management deal termination

this is old news.. Everyone knows why EK left and that's because of the corruption and nepotism of the previous regimes. They made bad deals like cancelling the 350 order and having to pay fees. I saw 100% LF on flights to FRA and FCO months before they were terminated and I felt these routes were h...

Re: EK 235 (DXB -> ORD) - A fake smile, doesn't go a long way

Sweet report! I suppose EK might have that high-service bubble, and that their growth is kinda having an impact on their services. Although, that growth is nothing short of remarkable. -How are you able to make it on to UA on routes to CMB? With UL being a OW carrier, wouldn't it be a AA/BA itinera...

Nice report. Thanks for posting. The photos are not working but your descriptions were so good, I almost felt as if I were "there." I've heard that Emirates' standards have fallen a bit. Perhaps the inconsistency is a byproduct of over-expansion. Photos can be accessed here: https://www.f...

Re: present longest and historic longest 773 (non ER) route?

CX may have flown the 773A to MEL at one point. They use 77W’s to SYD/MEL now on some flights. TG BKK-MEL Maybe the longest recent route? Mainly 77W/77E/359 now. KE flew NRT-LAX and ICN-NAN years ago, a few ICN-AKL, TG a few subs BKK-AKL. SQ had them briefly scheduled SIN-AKL due to Japan Tsunami 7...

How about the longest route in operational history? Were there any TATL or trans pacific routes?

they use a 77L to LAX so I'm guessing they don't have that much business to the west coast when compared to EK. LA being a much bigger destination than Vegas makes me wonder if there is something more than a 'technical issue'.

Re: Woman dies at SXM after falling from jet blast

I doubt they will put a barrier since it might have a detrimental effect on tourism for which SXM is a major crowd puller. It was also caused by a 737 and not even a bigger engine similar to a GE-90 which has frequented the airport for ages.
