The only issue I have with these services is in regards to luggage space, BLADE only allows one bag with a 20-pound limit. For a business traveler flying to London for a couple of days, he could get by but you lose a lot of markets when people aren't able to bring in much more than a slightly heavy ...Jump to post
Greatly impressed with Chinese construction tbh. Good jobJump to post
American Airlines really need to place an order for A321XLR to push Boeing to finally launch 797. AA, please do it. Uhm, the opposite would be true. Why would an airline buying a competing product (aka potential frames for Boeing at one point) HELP the business case for the 797? It only further bur...Jump to post
I think that the only thing that Boeing can do is to keep selling MAXes and bridge the gap to the NSA. The NSA can be a 3-aircraft family of 180, 210, 240 seats, centered around the 210-seater. So what if Airbus wins a year worth of production for the XLR for the next 10 years. Plus, the XLR isn't ...Jump to post
Im sorry but you played yourself by going right as the hotel opens. Ofcourse there will be kinks to be worked out still. Im sure if you go late summer it will be better.Jump to post
First off, The sheer amount of distance between these two points is truly immense and I am not even sure there is a commercial aircraft that could do it non stop with passengers. The second problem is if the demand is really there (I do not believe there is). New Zealand is a tiny country that alre...Jump to post

How is this move going? I heard from someone that TK cancelled their flight to Atlanta today and didnt make any alternate arrangements at all.Jump to post
I dont mind it lol. I've had to take a bus to the terminal in Shanghai and from the terminal to the plane in Istanbul and Kiev..
Actually, I also took a bus when flying Delta @ JFK last summer.
Has the EU ban been lifted? I was on Flight Radar last night looking at 757s in the air and I swear I saw about 3 from them, over the EU.Jump to post
I have heard only horror stories about them in the past few weeks including their apparently ridiculous baggage policy and fees. The travel blog world isnt favorable to them right now.Jump to post

This is a big winner for Boeing. Now that Airbus has nothing to offer above the A350-1000, the market is all in Boeing's pockets. Now they only need to launch the NMA to totally destroy Airbus in the widebody market. With a B797/787/777X combo, Airbus' meager A330neo/A350 offering will be eclipsed....Jump to post
Wouldnt there be a need for the units to work together though? Like International to domestic transfers etc. This seems....overly complicated? How do you allocate revenues/costs for someone flying say LHR-JNB-Pretoria for example. I mean good luck to them, I see other commentors saying other airlin...Jump to post

I must be missing something. The issue from the airline's perspective (and, to be fair, also the bus or train operators') is that they might have been able to sell that seat on the B to C leg for a higher fare than what they charged the original passenger. Because the passenger did not continue pas...Jump to post
As much as I applaud the changes, I am also mixed and torn on this. Short term enhancements are most definitely needed. But it's also just that - short term. It would be much wiser to use that same funds on long term capital improvements to the overall operational aspects of JFK - such as cleaning ...Jump to post

$344M seems low to replicate at a minimum BA's operation from 7 based on passed discussions here and my knowledge of NYC construction costs, thought these are private entitites so I assume they will be more efficientJump to post

Sounds more like America here than Taiwan.
Just governor’s wish. Will never happen! I would not say that. Mendoza is one of Argentina's prime tourism destinations in its own right (and high-end tourism, MDZ is not for those on a tight budget) and with Argentina's wine industry located there, it has also a good deal of corporate travel: the ...Jump to post

In terms of clue(s), I think it's the responses in GIF form...how many cities are there that are in GIF form? And if there are cities they are probably decent sized metro(s)/hubs. JFK has midnight to 2am departures to the Caribbean and Latin America as well. It happens.

I was in China a month ago and had a really good time. Visited Beijing but took the train from Shanghai so didnt get to experience PEK. How busy is PVG? I was there within the last few weeks. Landed at 730pm ish on a Sunday and though we used a remote stand, the actual airport didnt seem to busy. I also left on a Monday at about 1pm and again, the terminal airport didnt seem that busy.Jump to post
Fixed that for you. :wink2: I know that this board is global, but I'm pretty sure that by now folks know that raccoons are also referred to as trash-pandas. The comment refers to the black cockpit window mask that seems to be spreading beyond the A350. So my question remains. Is the black cockpit w...Jump to post

By the way folks, changing the subject a bit but... I was in Petra, Jordan last month and TK built a covered tiered sitting area, bleachers at the entrance of Petra big enough for few hundred people. It has all kinds of TK posters surrounding it and it says if you show your TK ticket, you can get a...Jump to post
AA, DL and UA have all made their toilets smaller, just 24" wide. If BW will have wider ones, then the fewer seats will need to have higher yields. BW has to compete against AA and B6 so having more legroom and wider seats will be a competitive factor. Caribbean people aren't the smallest peop...Jump to post
Few people participating in these threads want to accept reality. Amazon doesn’t even employ 50K in Seattle; it could take a couple decades before that many people were employed at HQ2A and HQ2B.
