So I am flying NYC to FLL on May 20 for a wedding. I took a PCR test on May 18 and then went to a professional event less than 10 minutes later and I immediately started feeling...not normal. Today, May 19 I am still waiting for the PCR, so decide to take a rapid test in case the PCR doesnt come (i ...
Jump to postDoes anyone have insight into how BW is performing out of GEO? I know people have said demand in general, across the network, is coming back faster than anticiapted but I've also seen the comments about Jetblue and AA and their capacity into GEO. So how is BW performing?
Jump to post1) Orthodox Jews all dress the same dont they? I dont see anti-Semitism here. They are all Jews who dress, act and look the same way. Saying the Jewish people caused it to me obviously implies the Hasidic Jewish people, the ones who all are easily identifiable and look the same. And yes, unfortunate...
Jump to postEffective today, UA818/9 IAH-EZE-IAH is being upgauged to the 77E from the 789, adding 20-25 more seats daily in each direction. The UA service to EZE from IAH has been flown with the 77E previously and it is great to see the route doing well. I flew this route in November 2019 on the 777 and the t...
Jump to postI flew NYC AMS last Wednesday on Delta and the flight was completely full, their words, not mine.
Came back today on KLM and it was probably less than 50%. Had my entire row free and then the entire middle section was empty as well.
The talk is that the full 12(Other 3) may come sooner as demand is growing faster than anticipated, but TTO is coming due to the leasing contract.
AA gave me a $50 credit because the tv wasnt working on my 6+ hr flight last week. Better than nothing (UA gave me $200 pre pandemic for a 9+ hour flight)
Jump to postIn one of my FB travel groups someone just posted that they are delayed indefinitely on their trip to Boston due to maintenance and will soon cancel if the crew times out. B6 is apparently sending mechanics from Orlando to Jacksonville but it will take a few hours for them to get there and hopefully...
Jump to postHands up anyone surprised what happens in this city :!: Not surprised at all. NYC is a very dangerous place. I am very curious, there seems to be a photo of the gunman taken by a witness with their phone but they won't release it. https://abcnews.go.com/US/multiple-shot-separate-incidents-involving...
Jump to postI'd probably still wear it, maybe....but why did it take so long?
Jump to postI flew B6 SFO-JFK yesterday. Pretty uneventful flight that left on time and got in early! Was surprised they only give a drink and then I think potato chips later on. I flew out on AA a week earlier and we actually had options for a breakfast meal. I had the cheese platter but my seatmates had oatme...

Increased headwinds for Europe travel - fuel prices, war, and the rising Omicron BA2. Central/Eastern Europe bookings are softening. Air Canada for example this week dropped plans to launch Budapest, while European carriers trimming some Eastern Europe flying also. In Eastern Europe there’s some of...
Jump to postI question B6’s return to FLL-POS. As of now, it’s listed as a suspension but not serving a route like that during its peak season and planning to resume off peak doesn’t make any sense to me. As you noted, B6 has been historically weak on this route (and to POS generally IMO). With BW on the route...
Jump to postI noticed some major market exits / suspensions by B6 in their latest schedule update. These seem to be market exits (removed from May until end of schedule): AUS-CUN BNA-CUN These are their market suspensions (not flying from May to September / October): BDL-LAS BDL-SFO EWR-ATL EWR-AUS EWR-CHS EWR...
Jump to postCAL is restarting POS-FLL in the summer. 2x a week I saw the press release for this and it seemed strange to me as POS-FLL has been loaded for at least two weeks now. I'm not sure why they waited this long to announce. On top of that, they are flying on Fridays and Sundays which seems too close to ...

Jump to postAnyone with insight into why this might happen: I have a trip with Delta in a few months to Panama. Last week they moved up the return flight by about 1 hour, no big deal. Today they have no adjusted that same return flight to a scheduled arrival that is 30 minutes later, but the departure remains t...
Jump to postGood initiative by KLM, well done to them, but it got me thinking of the waste that occurs in ferrying empty planes for servicing to far flung places and not being able to sell seats on such flights. An example is BA sending their 380's to MNL & back, they know well in advance they will do this...
Jump to postPurple in the Caribbean is seen as a "serious" color (funerals maybe). A glance at the majority of the CARICOM flags suggests otherwise. Even the somber T&T flag isnt purple. Jump to postBravo, and Suerte! May I ask, though - since when in Purple (and not complaining, a favourite of mine...) associated with the Caribbean? Jump to postYes. China is just watching on the sidelines and taking note of how the world reacts to this Russia / Ukraine situation.
They will definitely make their move for Taiwan
Jeez, some of yall are so negative lol. Always coming after BW.
Jump to postLooks like BWs next Max will arrive on February 24. This will be the fourth. The first two are in service and the third has probably been on property for close to a month now at least, but yet hasn't been put into the rotation.
Why are they taking so long to put each new aircraft to use?
Congrats to BW on launching IAH. Seems risky this early in the GEO energy bonanza game with things just starting to ramp up. Good for them for trying. Very short window before launch date but hopefully they have a contract in place to transport energy workers from IAH. I know they were doing a few ...

Are most of the Guyanese closer to EWR than JFK? EWR is not very convenient for them. Most Guyanese live in Richmond Hill, an area only about 3 miles away from JFK. There are some Trinidadians there as well but a lot are in Brooklyn about 5 miles away. There are also lots of Guyanese that work at J...
Jump to postSeems BW will be starting GEO-POS-IAH soon as they had to delay the start of the route due to Covid and POS being closed. Jump to postOkay, big news today with NK/F9 merger. I have no idea what this might mean for B6. I'd assume their situation in NYC/BOS/FLL/LAX don't change all that much. Aside from that, I see Caribbean airline cutting JFK-KIN after April. A major win here for B6 to have the route all to themselves. I'd be sur...

I wonder which brand will survive? But of course I could ...

Jump to postNone of that matters if ATL passengers pay exorbitant fares over and above what other cities like IAD and MIA pay, and people from ATL will regularly break fares over NYC to get cheaper flights to Europe.
