Re: Air Canada News And Discussion Thread

Hopefully these cargo flights are out of YMX :) The transport minister announced plans to inject cash into Mirabel to make it a cargo hub I doubt that as Air Canada's operations are at YUL. Pilots, Ramp agents, and the cargo centre are all at YUL. I doubt AC would want to spend money to build a who...

Re: Air Canada announced for Q1 2020 a $1.05B loss + retirement of 79 older aircraft

So first changes regarding Rouge: Air Canada will operate both flights (YYZ and YUL) to Barcelona from June 25th with Boeing 787-8 instead of Air Canada Rouge 767-300ER. https://twitter.com/maxcamposeurope/status/1259866000062808065?s=19 787-8 on both YUL & YYZ to ATH 333 on both YUL & YYZ ...

Re: Air Canada flying cargo SYD-YYZ direct on a 789

Have AC done the cargo conversion on the 333s? I saw an article about the firm that converted the 77Ws and it said they were also doing 333s, but it wasn't clear if it was AC's birds or someone else's. Beech Yes 2 ex. TAP fins (939 & 940) were converted to cargo. One just landed in YUL from TLV.

Since TLV started from YUL a few years ago they've been using a A333 on the route. However this summer it is scheduled to operated with the B789.

A320 C-FDQQ one of the oldes A320 - MSN 068 still flying (!) guess its her last flight :( but: retirment earned after 30.5 years Retirement or storage? AC stiII has both 201 and 402 on their FIN Numbers page, which generally gets updated as soon as an aircraft leaves the property for good. Both tho...

Re: Which Air Canada's aircraft are being parked?

Don't know whether it's related but it seems that A333 C-GFUR has not returned to service since it flew back from Singapore at the end of February and landed at YYZ. No point flying an aircraft that is in a different configuration then the other 330s. It would just be more of a headache for operati...

Re: US cancels flight to Europe except UK for 30 days

I wonder if Air Canada could profit from this.

Does the ban count if a pax does DCA-YUL-CDG?

Any intel on why C-GKUH is stored at Marana? Seems odd to lease the aircraft, paint it, and then place it in storage.

It's probably waiting to head to SIN for refurbishment.

Re: Pax Numbers Between YYZ-YOW-YUL During Protests

I've noticed the last few days AC has been running the whole fleet on YUL-YYZ-YUL

Everything from 763, 330, 787, 77W

Also helps that a few 787's that are used for China are freed up.

If BEY is timed perfectly to connect with the YUL flight, that arrangement could be very successful.

Re: Summer schedule 2020 WestJet

I guess the Alberta economy is doing better than I thought. Uniquely YYC centric growth. With all do respect Westjet is relying on feeder flights to fill their international flights out of YYC. Calgary would not be able to fill a Dreamliner with O&D to FCO, especially when YVR doesn't even have...

I wonder YUL will be connected to WAW in the next few years. It seems it’s the only destination missing to really complete Montreal’s European destinations.

Re: Future of YUL

Its unbelivable how AC can make ALG or CMN work (and look at TUN as a potential) but have stayed away from AMM or BEY! Politics aside we know why but still, would love to see those. Royal Jordanian already serves AMM 2 weekly from Montreal. Trust me AC would love to jump on BEY if they could. But n...
