According to the AS booking portal, MCI-PDX will be upgraded to daily mainline (738) from its initial E175 starting first week of December. I’m not sure if it’s permanent or a temporary Covid shuffle, but it remains well into next summer. Nonetheless, It’s encouraging to see AS’s confidence in MCI. ...Jump to post
Sounds like UA is adding back DEN-FRA next month. I wonder if LH will ever bring back their DEN-FRA connection or if they will rely on United's metal. . . No, I think they will rely on United. With Lufthansa's entire A380/346 fleet being eliminated, Lufthansa will probably want to focus on markets ...Jump to post

Just as I predicted, some good news regarding Kansas City’s air service. From the airport’s director, AC will ‘finally’ upgage it’s MCI - YYZ flight from the CRJ-200 to the CRJ-900. However, on Air Canada’s booking portal, it only showed the upgrade during the summer months. I’m not sure if the rest...Jump to post

Is there a reason why VS is planning DEN service and not MSP? DEN is a Star fortress and already has three airlines to London. We don’t need another carrier on the route. Meanwhile MSP is a DL hub which already has a partnership with VS and MSP has no other airline serving LHR. I would think it woul...Jump to post
are there any airports in Denver region that could take an A220 or Breeze e-jets, that couldn't take any bigger aircraft such as A319/B737 ? About time the livery was disclosed but can’t say I’m a fan. It looks somewhat dated and even cartoonish, like a fictional airline from a sim tycoon game.Jump to post
Leaked rendering for Breeze livery via Yahoo article. I don’t know how to extract the photo and place it here so if someone could, we would be grateful.

Final traffic numbers for 2019 are in. 11,795,635 travelled through MCI, down 0.5% from 2018. I’m assuming this is due to cuts from AS, WN, FI and the MAX grounding. Not a good trend. Hopefully with the increase of flights to SEA, CHS and the Super Bowl we can get back on track. In other news, AC w...Jump to post

Anyone know what’s going on with WK’s 2020 schedule? It’s been significantly reduced to just a 3 month run. SAN is being reduced even further. This year, it was 32 or 36 flights. Now it’s going down to 24 in 2020. Is WK long-haul ops overstretched, sudden weak demand or ultimately pulling out?Jump to post
Hi all, I'm sure i'm not the only one to have this thought. Why is it on the majority of TATL flights regardless of airline, the breakfast served in Y is minimal and threadbare? Aside from select flights on KL, BA and LH, breakfast in economy is seldom more than the likes of a puny bagel or a prepac...Jump to post

Bummer to hear but not surprised. I believe Kansas City (aside from CLE) was the only market where FI was the sole TATL operator.
However, with FI gone, what are the chances MCI could attract another flight? Say to AMS or LHR? I’m hopeful but not optimistic.
It's a non-sensical metric, in that it's a measure of demand from single U.S. airports to all of Europe . A flight, oh, MCI-LHR doesn't fix the alleged underserved problem - it just gives another connecting gateway. MCI already has one-stop services (via ORD, JFK, DTW, EWR, ATL, PHL...) to all of t...Jump to post
While I’m not holding my breath I’ll entertain the idea. An expanded VA that can effectively compete with BA would be welcomed however their North American wishlist is “interesting”. I’m guessing the 777X will take its place. There are no plans to make DEN A380 compatible and the 748 seats fewer passengers than the 744 with DEN being a consistently solid market for LH.Jump to post
Assuming this info is true might as well add MCI-LHR. FI has stuck around so I imagine BA would do even better with LHR being one of the largest unserved foreign routes from KC

As i'm sure some of you have already read, FI is dropping CLE this summer as well as Halifax due to MAX8 issues. I believe this just leaves MCI left from their recent expansion.
