According to the AS booking portal, MCI-PDX will be upgraded to daily mainline (738) from its initial E175 starting first week of December. I’ve wondered this too. Considering how the A330ceos are extensively used across the long haul network it always puzzled and irritated me that DL never retrofitted the A330ceo fleet but did so with the 767s. Could someone explain this?

Anyone know what’s going on with WK’s 2020 schedule? It’s been significantly reduced to just a 3 month run. SAN is being reduced even further. This year, it was 32 or 36 flights. Now it’s going down to 24 in 2020. Is WK long-haul ops overstretched, sudden weak demand or ultimately pulling out?

Bummer to hear but not surprised. I believe Kansas City (aside from CLE) was the only market where FI was the sole TATL operator.

However, with FI gone, what are the chances MCI could attract another flight? Say to AMS or LHR? I’m hopeful but not optimistic.

I’m guessing the 777X will take its place. There are no plans to make DEN A380 compatible and the 748 seats fewer passengers than the 744 with DEN being a consistently solid market for LH.

Assuming this info is true might as well add MCI-LHR. FI has stuck around so I imagine BA would do even better with LHR being one of the largest unserved foreign routes from KC
