Korean carriers having issues, they are having to ferry aircraft to the United States for repairs. Talk about added cost.

Re: American orders 15 E175s and 15 CRJ900s

what is the reason to split the order to 2 comparable models, instead of only buy 30 of just 1 type? What is the logic? Their regional affiliates already operate both types of aircraft in large numbers and ordering 15 of each will allow them to receive the aircraft much quicker than if they ordered...

Re: American A320 Retirement

Current AA Airbus Fleet size (LAA +LUS)
319 - 125
320 - 48
321 - 219

The cycles are similar between the oldest 320s and the oldest 737s, however on average the 320s have higher counts.

Re: Split Scimitar winglet customers

There seem to be two variants, the more "swoopy" NG design and the straighter MAX design. AFAIK, the Split Scimitar Winglet is the one used in the 737NG. It's a retrofit for the Blended Winglet and is manufactured by Aviation Partners. The winglet used on the 737 MAX is the AT Winglet (AT...

No ideas. I haven't lived in Mobile in literally decades. But happy as I am to hear of new service at MOB, I'm not sure what would drive growth or support new service.

Might have something to do with current/future activities at the other Mobile airport.

Looks to be a 175.

Re: AA to begin DFW/CLT to SBN and ECP. ORD-LGA Shuttle

Equipment? Frequencies? I was not provided these details but I'm sure an official announcement will advise them, if not they'll be loaded in a few days. If anyone knows I'm sure they'll share, too... Until then we can speculate. I'll go out on a limb and say CRJ9 or E170 for SBN-DFW for competitive...

Re: Alaska announces 8 destinations to be served from PAE

Thanks CowAnon for posting the link, just found the article myself. For those asking about parking spots vs gates, if you look at the photo of the ramp areas, there are multiple straight lead-in lines depicted, where the JB parking is diagonal. I would say depending on time of day, multiple E175s co...
