not to mention that with 239 seats on a a321neo they will most probably become the carrier with the lowest casm among all of the lcc in europe giving them the opportunity to compete head to head on some of the most established low cost routes outside their current home turf perhaps!?

Not sure if it's related but I was randomly looking at operations in DXB half an hour ago on flightradar and for at least 15 minutes nobody landed nor took off, with 2 planes already on final seemingly touching down only to give full throttle again and holding more time. I was fairly sure at least initially they didn't put trust reversers on the outboard engines cause on most runways they hang so far out that they would cause dirt to be sprawled onto the rwy for subsequent operations.

For Airbus it is engine type, 4 stands for Rolls Royce, 1 for the 1st Rolls engine developed, each serious innovation of the engine gets an incremental number. For Boeing its the customer code, but I think this practice will stop from the 787 onwards. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus#Eng...

AZA756 Rome-Tehran - ESB stop ?

The aircraft makes a tech stop on the outbound sector to get enough fuel to get back to Ankara, as it cannot refuel in Tehran.
I'm positive that when European countries refused to refuel Iranian planes the Iranians did the same in retaliation.
